The Worst Thing about this tattoo... is that I will probably end up with one like this one day... and it's kinda sad. HAHAHA

I want to get some tattoos... I don't really know what of yet. Somedays I really want one, and other days I don't... I don't want to get one and then end up hating it. So I may end up never getting one, cos I worry so much about the future, that I'll most likly talk myself out of it.

I want to dye my hair bright colours, but probably won't because I worry about what people think. And considering I'm currently looking for a job, it would probably be best if I keep my hair relatively natural. I was thinking of having it made lighter, with lots of different highlights and lowlights. That might look good, and it's a step closer to being blonde, but not to quickly.

I wish I was geekier =D

Anyway I have decided that before I die I have to go blonde, even if it's for a few days. I have also decided that I may want to be a lecturer at TAFE. If i'm lucky I may even have the chance to do it soon... but I'm not sure, and I can't get my hopes up. I would LOVE it!

What Am I Going To Do Now???

So... guess what peeps? I no longer work for that small IT company I was telling you about... unfortunatly the decison wasn't up to me either... but so what... Thats Life I Suppose.

I’m having doubts about whether I actually want to work in the IT industry anymore. It is very much a male dominated industry. But that has me thinking… What am I going to do now???
The big thing I’m thinking about now is teaching. I don’t know what?? I could go to Uni and become a school teacher, or I could do my Cert IV in training and assessment and become a lecturer. I think if I was to become a school teacher, I would teacher Primary School.

But before I attempt to decide what I want to do, I have to find myself a new job, to get some money. I went in and talked with the manager of our local Blockbuster... hopefully he'll decide he still wants me (every time I went in there he would ask if I wanted to work there) so we will see tomorrow. =D

Apparently in Oslo in Norway, instead of the city organise fireworks on new years eve, people are allowed to fire there own fireworks. The result... extremely beautiful.

Wii Can Do It

My next "big" purchase... I've decided to buy a Nintendo Wii. I will have to wait a little while, because all of Australia is out of stock because of Christmas, but as soon as I've finished work today, I'm going into EB Games and ordering one. Woohoo!
The games I'm going to buy are, Super Paper Mario, Mario Party 8, MySims & Zelda I think first. Then buy some more later. I will also need to purchase a second controller. I'm so excited, because you can connect Nintendo DS's to them wirelessly. And you can go on the net. If you have wireless broadband.
The reason I decided I'm finally going to buy one is, I went to my aunts place yesterday and the guy that is staying there has a Wii, and it was so cool to look at... and OMG I so want one.

Hairspray or Hairspray

Last night I watched the new remake of Hairspray. It got me thinking... Which one do I like better??
The original Hairspray, written and directed by John Waters, was made in 1988, and wasn't a musical. It starred Ricki Lake as Tracey. Some people might not know this but the Hairspray made in 2007, is actually based on "Hairspray" the Broadway musical and not John Waters original movie. The Broadway musical is actually based on John Waters Hairspray, and all the musical numbers were added.
After much consideration, I actually enjoyed John Waters Hairspray. I'm a sucker for originals. But the most recent Hairspray does have it's good bits... Zac Efron... John Travolta is drag... and a cast of Hollywood actors that actually perform the singing and dancing themselves.

HAHA look what my blogs are reduced too. HAHA nevermind... can you say GEEK!!??

Sims 2 Cheats

Here's some of the best and most frequently used Sims 2 cheats that I know.
To enter the cheats, hold down CTRL, SHIFT and C.

boolProp TestingCheatsEnabled [true/false]
I freaking love this one. True turn it on. This is only the best cheat EVER. Once this one is activated, all you need to do is hold down SHIFT and click on any object or sim and new options will show up. *TRY THIS* while your sim is stargazing with the telescope hold down SHIFT and click on the telescope. If you're done this correctly, you can make the sim be abducted by aliens. Also click on the sim and click on Spawn... find the "Tombstone of L & D" (this is the best thing ever... you can make the selected sim pregnant to anyone, even themself, you can kill the selected sim, make them friends with everyone on the lot, speed up the pregnancies... its freaking amazing) also the "Sim Modder". *WARNING* while I’ve tried most of the new options available... I recommend that you save you current household before trying. Some cheats are known to 'kill' your sim. Also, I haven't had any trouble with this cheat corrupting my sims game, but some people I know have, so be careful, and I take NO responsibility for lost games.

I thought I could go without leaving a blog about this photo... but I can't it's just so amazing.
It was taken on 26th January 2007 in Perth. On the left you can see the Australia Day fireworks. On the right you can see an amazing storm rolling in, and in the middle (click here to see larger image) you can see Comet McNaught as it passes Earth.

The reason I found this was I was looking on Flickr (now my new favouritest place) for photos of lightning cos I was gonna write a blog about the weather... why? cos there is a huge storm coming. And I mean huge. They're forecasting severe isolated wind squalls (do you know what they are??? thats the way they say TORNADO without freaking anyone out!!) TORNADOS for gods sake... in freaking Albany. OMG!

Fine I love thunderstorms... during the day... when I don't need to sleep. Luckily I'm not working tomorrow. But I hate it when it's windy. I live in an old house that creaks and shakes when it's windy. My windows rattle... and my bed is pushed up under the window, so I lay awake at night scared cos I think the window is gonna break.

This is also the most recent DVD I've watched as well.
Let me tell you this... it's a lot scarier when your 6. It was more funny this time. The fact that the world was blown up with an atomic bomb in 1966 during "The Third World War" was funny. I was a bit confused while watching it, but realised "This movie was made in 1960, so they don't know whats going to happen!" boy were they wrong =D
It was very colourful... thats what I miss about Science Fiction movies now, they're too dark. They need to realize that people may want bright Science Fiction Movies... like the original Star Wars. Now there are some cool movies... which strangely I don't own... yet... yet being the key word.

Last CD I Bought (The Labyrinth Soundtrack)

I've been looking for this CD for years... ever since I saw the movie. It was this Movie, and the music in it, that I think truly started my love affair with music and old movies. I love love love David Bowie in this movie... I love everything about this movie.
A couple of years ago I found these books in Angus & Robertson, with the most beautiful art book with drawings of faeries and goblins. I remember thinking, as I flipped through it the first time "these drawings look like something out of the Labyrinth". I later found out they were. The faeries where drawn by Brian Froud, who came up with the original visual concept for both The Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal.
Just let me tell you... I was very excited!!

I have decided that I'm going to learn how to cook. Like really cook... real food. It started on Christmas, my auntie bought me a Pavlova tray that has the recipe on it. (My Auntie is big into cooking) since then all I wanted to do is cook. And yesterday while I was reading Gala Darlings' blog, she was talking about buying some cookbooks, and I decided I want cookbooks too. I've also watched Nigella on ABC. She's strange, but I love what she cooks... fast simple yummy food. What more can you ask for?

I want to make pretty cupcakes, with colourful royal icing (I love icing) with pretty candy flowers =D I kinda want to move out of home now so I can have my own kitchen, so I can buy all kitcheny stuff.

i'm lyssa. i'm 21. i'm half emo, half geek... this means, that i fall into both emo and geek 'stereotypes'. some things about me are more emo, some are more geek. i'm happy. i work for a small IT company. i'm the only female employee. i love it. i still live at home. so i don't have to pay rent. i got my drivers license 6 months ago and don't own a car. i use my parents. so no car payments. when i need fuel i ask my parents for money. mum usually uses all the fuel anyway. i'm addicted to myspace. i have a blog on myspace. but this blog is going to have my thoughts in it that i maybe embarrassed to admit on myspace for all my friends to see. if they find it... it's okay. i think emo boys are sexy. there is something empowering about a guy that is comfortable enough to wear makeup. i believe only wannabe emo's slit their wrists. being emo is not about attention. it's about being comfortable and yourself. i read yaoi. yaoi is romance manga (japanese comics) that has 2 male leads. if you know what i mean. i read paranormal romances. they involve vampires, werewolves, aliens, gods, etc. i've started getting into comic books. like xmen and stuff like that. i'm rather technologically advanced. i have an iPod, a nintendo ds, a nokia n95 8gb mobile, a semi flash computer... it works. and a job in IT. i don't play World of Warcraft. 2 reasons. one- don't have internet speed. two- i would probably become addicted and turn into a WoW zombie. and i like the sun. and being social. i like anime. not pokemon or naruto. i like girly anime and vampire anime. and getbackers. i'm totally addicted to sims 2. i have all expansion packs, all stuff packs, and can't wait til febuary when the new expansion pack is out.
