Things I Love Thursday

This is it, the last day of the year, and the last "Things I Love Thursday" for 2009. It's been an awesome year, full of ups and downs and tears and smiles, and just awesomeness. So here it is.

"Seeya next year" jokes. A customer thought he'd be funny, by saying "Seeya next year" as he left the store. Honorable mention... tomorrow, without fail, my little sister (or my dad) will use the "I haven't showered since last year" line. =D

Moleskine Planner, actually any planners, shiny and new and empty, until tomorrow (except if you're my planner, it hasn't been empty since I bought it back in October)

Learning how to fold t-shirts. Check it out, it's only a 38 second Youtube video, and it's in Japanese, but it will change the way you fold clothes forever!

Twenty10 anticipation. Movies, Music, Concerts, just awesome things that will happen during the next year. Will I get to meet Ianto Jones (Torchwood)? Will Muse come back to Perth to perform a solo tour (because I missed out of Big Day Out tix)? Will I lose one hundred milllion kilos? Who knows, that's what makes it so awesome!

It's Not the End of the World But I Can See It from Here by Lostprophets. Ian Watkins is seriously channeling The Mighty Boosh in the first verse.

CUPCAKES... I badly want and need the plummer to come and connect up our new oven. We haven't had a working Oven in months, I'm seriously having cupcake withdrawls. All I want to do it bake pretty yummy things. (That probably isn't a Thing I Love Thursday.... but I need everyone to know what hardships I'm going through)

Star Trek (the original series) OMG awesomeness (I actually found an episode I remember watching as a kid) YAY!

LEGO. My sister made me this.

Thanks to everyone who reads my blog. And I look forward to reading your blogs in TWENTY10.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

THINK POSITIVE

I found this, it's has inspired me to think positive.
Around 1990, when Jim Carrey was a struggling young Canadian comic trying to make his way in Los Angeles, he drove his old Toyota up to Mulholland Drive. While sitting there looking at the city below & dreaming of his future, he wrote himself a check for $10 million, dated it Thanksgiving 1995, added the notation “for acting services rendered”, & carried it in his wallet from that day forth. The rest, as they say, is history. Carrye’s optimism & tenacity eventually paid off, & by 1995, after the huge box office success of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask & Dumb & Dumber, his asking price had risen to $20 million per picture. When Carrey’s father died in 1994, he placed the $10 million check into his father’s coffin as a tribute to the man who had both started & nurtured his dreams of being a star.
THINK POSITIVE.

Lostprophets

Just watched the music video for the new(ish) Lostprophets single "It's Not the End of the World But I Can See it from Here" and it's good. Better than anything they've made before. I can't wait until their new album.

the lead singer, Ian Watkins, has got to have the sexiest hair ever. I have this poster of him, and god his hair is sexy. And his welsh accent isn't that bad either =D
I think it's time for a Lostprophets picspam.

now tell me he doesn't have sexy hair.

Decoration Inspiration

Going though all my old Polyvore sets and I found some Interior Decoration ones.

What do you think? I prefer bedrooms to anything. I like to make the rooms to have lots of interesting things to look at. For example. Check out Mikas' "room" in the We Are Golden music video.

Creative Space - Urban Homes of Artists and Innovators

I found this book at Dymocks.
It's called Creative Space - Urban Homes of Artists and Innovators by Francesca Gavin and it's amazing.
It's inspired me even more. I want to gut my room and start from scratch =D but instead (because I don't have enough money or space to live) I'm going to wait until my little sisters room is gutted and then decorate her room. I'm excited. I've already started thinking about it, and collecting ideas.

Movies To See in Twenty10

Daybreakers - As much as I currently depise Vampire movies (thanks alot TWILIGHT) I really want to see this one.

Legion - Instead of Vampires I love Angels. and Paul Bettany =) Can't wait for this movie.

another movie I can't wait to see is Priest (okay fine, so it's a Vampire movie) It stars Paul Bettany as The Priest, and KARL URBAN as Black Hat. No trailers yet, but I read in an interview with Karl Urban that he gets to wear Vampire teeth, and there may be some Karl Urban nudity. *squee*

obviously I want to see Alice In Wonderland, Clash of the Titans and Prince Of Persia, and I'm sure there will be lots of other movies to watch in Twenty10.

Best 100 Movies

Things I Love Thursday

Going to the cinema to see Avatar & Where The Wild Things Are. Yep this week I went to the cinema twice =D and I'm decided, I'm going to try and get to the cinema at least once a week in Twenty10.

DecoPetit. They're like pens, that have strips of decorated sticky (Sorry the package are in Chinese) They're super cute. They were originally $4.95ea, but I got them for $1 each. YAY!

I get to make Cheesecake and Potato Salad this afternoon for our Christmas Lunch tomorrow. I'm really excited. We're having breakfast with some of dad's friend, then the tradition family lunch. Then I have to go to work (that's not very exciting, but it's only for 2 hours, and it's double pay)

On Monday, I can officially start using my new 2010 Moleskine Diary (even though I've kinda already have) Mum got me some Straedler pens for Christmas, which are currently wrapped up under the tree. So I can't wait to use them.

That's pretty much it for now. I have some more posts to post today, but that's it for Things I Love Thursday, the second last Thursday of 2009 =D

22 December 2009

I'm Not a Powerful Speaker!!

Moleskine Tips, Tricks and Hacks

I'm in the process of filling in a selection criteria for a job at the local library. I'm a little stuck so I'm going to get the "guru" ie my mother, to help me when she gets home. I'm not getting my hopes up for this job. Even though it's PERFECT, and I'm pretty much PERFECT for it. It's exactly what I'm doing now, but instead of DVDs it's books. And I need a change =D

Mum and Dad have agreed to let me decorate the living room. We haven't discussed a budget yet, but they're thinking $1000-$1500, but that doesn't include the floors, because they have already allowed for that in the renovation. I'm excited. I'm going to sit down with them and figure out what they want and do it very professionally so I can use it in my portfolio, which is non-existent at the moment.

I can't wait until 2010. My year, The Year of the TIGER.
RAWR!

THE FIRE TIGER 1926 AND 1986
Eccentric and dramatic, Fire Tigers are aglow with passion and verve. They are outgoing, expressive and look on the bright side of things. They have the Tiger’s natural ability to lead others and are able to excite others simply with their own gift of enthusiasm. They can be funny and have great senses of humor. Tigers are powerful speakers and have the ability to command and persuade crowds through speech. Their own seemingly endless supply of energy can make them appear a bit dramatic, and it may make them more sensitive to cautious or down-to-earth approaches in others.

Xmas Rambles

What I want for Christmas (revised)

another Wreck This Journal (my current one is starting to fill up fast)
Pretty pens. Like coloured fine liners. I don't remember what they're called. STAEDTLER triplus 20 pack (I'm going to try and convince my mother to get me these) or these
Stickers are always good. It doesn't even matter what they are.
Books about interior design or just design in general. I'm going into TAFE on the 18th of January to talk the the head lecturer for the Design course. I'm hoping he lets me in the class.
Inkheart, Inkspell and Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke (must be in the covers below (couldn't find the covers for Inkheart and Inkspell, but you get the idea)

That's all I can think of at the moment. But it might help those in my life that are having a hard time buying for me.

I went and saw AVATAR today.
OMG.
AWESOME.
That's all I really have to say.
Just go see it!

19 December 2009

Create A World

I downloaded The Sims 3 Create a World Tool. It was free and I was starting to get bored of the worlds I had in The Sims, but fuck it's hard to use. I tried to read the help file and that doesn't help me either. Is it just me, or is it really hard to use??? I think I'll just stick to downloading worlds that other people have made.

Also, you may have noticed the lack of photos. Well yeah, I failed the 100th attempt at the 365 Project =( Maybe I'll start again in 2010, which is just under 2 weeks away. I'm really excited, because I'll get to start using my new Moleskine 2010 diary on the 28th December =D I got my first thing in it too. A party on the 28th December for my friends 24th birthday. She's having a funeral for her love life (because she's (her words) "tragically single"), there's one downside, it's dresses for the ladeez and ties for the boys... I haven't worn a dress/skirt since year 8! that's 10 years! But I have a dress. I actually brought it today. I might wear it at Christmas to get used to wearing it. I really don't like dresses, but I promised her =D

18 December 2009

A Town Called Panic.

I just found out today that there is a feature length "A Town Called Panic" film being released. I'm not sure when it will be in Australia. But I so excited.

A Town Called Panic is this completely wacky stop motion animation. the characters are, an Indian called Indian, a cowboy called Cowboy and a horse called (you guessed it) Horse. It's weird and strange and wonderful.
There are only a few episodes, but this one is my favourite.
I present. A Town Called Panic, episode "Cow-Hulk"

Things I Love Thursday

I'm a nice person... here's why...
almost scored myself a free $300 voucher is Sports Power due to someones stupidity. they put it in the return chute at work. but being the nice person I am (and the fact there was only 2 different customers movies in the basket) i rang them both. and found the owner. you know what pisses me off. no thank you or nothing. what a wanker. I could of taken it and he would of been down $300. i need some stuff from sports power. but knowing me id go into sports power and they'd someway know. but i would of left it until after Christmas and pretend that i'd got it. idiot. i can't believe he didn't say thank you.
Sims 3 World Adventures. I love love love exploring the tombs and collecting relics =D

1 week until Christmas.

My friend Tahlia got me pretty earrings from Nepal. How exciting is that? Earrings, from Nepal! =D

Max and anything to do with Where The Wild Things Are.

Moleskine Awesome

Rambles about Xmas

the blog I posted to ourbedroom has gone crazy. over 30 comments so far =D
I love comments.

Monday, the start of another week.
Just over a week until Christmas. I still have a few more Xmas gifts to buy, and I need to send out my cards. I don't think the cards going to America will get there before Christmas. =(
I plan to do all my shopping tomorrow. I'm going to battle the crazy traffic and crazy people.
I'm so glad out family decided on Secret Santas. It means I only have to buy one present for my extended family. Which I've done already =D YAY

downloaded (and watched) the first episode of season 2 of Lie To Me yesterday. I love Tim Roth. In this episode he had to get violent and pretend to be a bastard to get a girls other personality to come out =D mmmm... sexy angry evil ROTH. *swoons*
(i do not condone violence against women, or violence against anyone)

My Bedroom

I finally did a post for the LiveJournal community ourbedrooms
IMG_9562

Hello Summer

Hello Summer, fancy seeing you here.
It's so hot.
My iPhone is telling me it's 37 degrees Celsius. KILL ME NOW!
I love sunshine, just not heat.
I had all these plans today that involved movement. But it's just too hot to move.
It's so hot that the cat was standing in the shade of a tree, 5 metres from the back door meowing so loud to get in. He usually plasters himself against the glass, but the concrete is too hot.
I'm seriously considering going to the movies. They have air conditioning.

watched Terminator Salvation last night. OMG Anton Yelchin is hot. And I never realized how awesome Sam Worthington is. He's awesome like Eric Bana. Yay for Australian action stars taking over Hollywood.

STAY POSITIVE

Jim Parsons is awesome!

No real posts today. Having a hard day.
My Gran fell and broke her hip last night.
She has an operation tonight at 5.30pm
There is less than 50% chance that she'll survive the operation.
But I'm staying positive.
