30 April 2010

I promise this is the last post for today...

... not getting an iPad
not getting a MacBook
Going to try and live with what I have.
Then go on a HUGE spending spree when I go to Melbourne.
I'm feeling very BLAH today.
I think it's because I have work tonight
I had 3 days off and now I'm back to work
I pretty much did shit-all for the whole 3 days
and i'm kinda regretting it a little.
but that's just me.

I wonder if I can get away with wearing my track pants to work tonight.
My work pants are faded and falling apart
my trackies are new.
Doesn't really matter, it's just one of the random things whooshing about my brain at the moment.

I'm going to write
DON'T PANIC
on my wrist
to remind me
not to panic =)
one day
it will be a tattoo.

You wanna eat where?

When in Melbourne my friend wants to have dinner at Attica. They offer 8 small courses.... and that's it, and it's all organic or really flash and food I've never heard of... for (get this) $140.00 per person!
I had a look at the menu, and there is NO way that I can justify paying $140.00 for food that I don't even know I like.

The MOST AMAZING THING EVER!

Mac Rambles

First off, I apologize for this meaningless rambles about stuff that you're probably completely over hearing

$3078.00
that's how much a MacBook Pro will cost.
It's the mid-range of the mid-range. (15inch 2.53Ghz Core i5)
the other option was
$2418.00
for a high-end starter model (13inch 2.66Ghz Core Duo)
the i5 is better, faster.
I've been told that both will run the Sims 3
do I want a computer "replacement" or a "second" computer?

I'm not getting an iPad
it actually feels good saying that
I'm over Microsoft so I'm going to buy a Mac
eventually.
Probably a laptop, because they're actually more powerful than their desktops.
But (even though I'm a shopaholic) I'm also kinda scroogey
$3000 is a hell of a lot of money for a laptop
I could get a hell of a good Microsoft laptop for that
but the main reason for the purchase is to get away from Microsoft.

People say it's worth it.
But since the last time I used a Mac was in Year 7.
I don't know that it is.
I've had so many people tell me it's worth it!

Someone Shoot Me!

This is my brain at the moment! Someone save me.
So I'm thinking I don't want an iPad and maybe I really do want a Macbook Pro. Because I can pretty much do everything an iPad can do on a Macbook plus more (mainly playing Sims 3) and then I wouldn't have to rely so much on THIS shit PC, that really doesn't want to be my friend anymore. May have to donate it to my sister or something.  An Macbook Pro 13 inch 2.66Ghz would cost me $1800, plus Apple Care, so a total price of just over $2000, that's without iWorks, and no other upgrades. I've been searching online and most people CAN run the Sims 3.
I know this is completely stupid.

I did it!

37 minutes on Wii Fit Plus = 287 calories burnt!
Do you know the best thing about exercising at home?
I can wear tights.... as pants =P
I believe it's something you can wear in the comfort of your own home...
... but NOT in public!

I feel better now. Less doubtful.
That workout burnt the block of chocolate to oblivion.
I don't know why I never thought about it before =D

I got a lovely comment from Sarah on my last blog.
She left it without any links so I don't know who she is.
But thank you.
I know that buying new things is a rush.
I'm a shopaholic =D
and a geek.
And usually technology is the most expensive.
If I didn't spend my whole life overweight
I seriously think I would of spent thousands and thousands of dollars on fashion
I love fashion. But luckily for me
I can't fit in it.
Lucky and Unlucky I guess.

Did anyone else notice all the new items on the toolbar and the new add image options?
they were there yesterday
but they're gone today.
Am I seeing things?

I like typing is short sentences
and half sentences.
I only do it, because I like reading blogs this way
they seem easier to read.
and it looks like poetry.
maybe i could make it rhyme
not that I have the time
maybe i'll have some coke with lime
and think about things that are mine
=D

OMG
I'm a retard.
I wish I had someone here to bounce off.
that's kinda one of the reasons
i kinda miss my "ex-cousins"
we could bounce off each other all day
with silly sayings and stories.
but she ruined it.
=(

maybe a silly limerick
hello my name is pete
i'm standing in the street
gimme your cash
nice and fash (haha fast!)
or i'll kick you in the teeth.
EPIC FAIL!

the next one goes.
Hello my name is lee
a man in mugging me
come real quick
and bring ya stick
come on he's getting free.

or something like that.
I heard them somewhere.
some irish/scottish/welsh comedian.

Feelings

last night i went to bed and laid there for about an hour, feeling doubtful.
I never really understand the emotions that I feel, but I know for sure that last night I felt doubtful.
Doubtful about a couple of things. like getting an iPad. I know I want it, but I know I probably don't need it. And I'm afraid I'll buy it, and then not have enough money to go away with. Mum has offered to give me some money, but I don't like taking money from her. I know she doesn't mind, she gave my sister money to go away with, but I know that her new job involved a paycut and that we're trying to renovate. I don't like to take money from her. I already owe her $15,000 for my car (probably more than that actually) and I'm useless at saving =(
After finally getting to sleep, every time I rolled over (which is a lot, because I'm quite a restless sleeper) I was in pain, because my back is being evil. 2 weeks ago it was my ankle, than my knee, and now it's moved up and is my right side. It's manageable. I think it's muscle pain, because I did go for a walk that involved climbing rocks etc =D (it was fun, but I'm kinda regretting it) I'm staying active, and it's getting better. The fact that I spend long periods of time in front of my computer probably doesn't help either.
I was naughty yesterday and ate a WHOLE block of chocolate =( I think I'm going to give up sweets again. Last time I did it, I managed to lose 1.2kg in a week with minimal change to exercise etc. I know I need to exercise. Maybe I might steal MY Wii back off my sister and doing some wii fit. Actually not maybe. I will! Right now!
No more blogging/internet until I've done 30 minutes =D
Then tonight I'm going to watch The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. We got a copy on DVD early (the perks of working at Blockbuster) I'm really excited, because it looks amazing. And I have to finish my review on Frankie #35.

Epicness

started planning the most epic party ever
the epic "movies made in 1986" party. (hopefully i will think of a better name)
i'm excited. I know it's not until november, but who cares.
Jareth doesn't =D

here's a short list of some excellent movies that were made in 1986 (and may I say the best year EVER)

Aliens
An American Tail
Big Trouble In Little China
Critters
Crocodile Dundee
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Flight Of The Navigator
Highlander
Howard The Duck
Labyrinth
Little Shop Of Horrors
Peggy Sue Got Married
Platoon
Pretty In Pink
Shanghai Surprise
Sid And Nancy
Spacecamp
Stand By Me
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
The Fly
The Great Mouse Detective
The Hitcher
Three Amigos
Top Gun

I can't decide on someone from Pretty In Pink, Labyrinth or Star Trek IV.
hmmmm???

guess what I just found out???

I've spent most of the day sitting at my computer, waiting for comments on my blog/status updates/whatever, and really what a waste. Last night I read a quote from Angus Sampson (which was in Frankie) that said:
"Time flies when you waste it"
and it's true. 5 minutes ago it was 1pm, now it's 3.30pm =(
I find myself constantly waiting for something.... comments, pre-order dates, trips, concerts. I don't really live in the here and now, I'm always looking for something to look forward too. And that's how I live.

10 May - iPad pre-order date
late May - iPad release date
26 June - Supanova
27 June - Fly to Melboure
30 June - Fly to Perth
24 July - 30 Seconds To Mars concert

then what? after that I haven nothing. I'm being smart and decided not to go to Japan with my friends in October (mainly because I can't afford it, because unlike them, I only have a casual job, not cushy government jobs, and mainly because I can't really see myself in Japan at the moment. Fine I'd love to go, but I just don't feel it. I want my first overseas adventure to be an English speaking country.... maybe New Zealand... I can see myself in New Zealand =D)

I'm thinking of planning an EPIC 24th birthday party for myself. The reason I do it for myself is, if I don't, it won't happen. I need an awesome theme, I can't have a mad hatter tea party, because that's the theme for my little sisters birthday party. So I need ideas. Mum wants me to have a Disco party, but I've really never been interested in Disco. Maybe an Epic 80s Rockers Party. Come dressed as your favourite 80s Rocker. Or a Cosplay party.... I don't really know. But everyone is invited =D

OMG! Movies from the 80s party!!!!! I was born in the 80s!!! OMFG! Jon Cryer was Ducky in Pretty In Pink! Are you serious??? I was in love with Ducky!
OMFG, I think that's a plan! Kidnap Jon Cryer (save him from the shit that is Two And A Half Men) and make him come to my EPIC birthday party in November! OMG Ducky!!! PS NO ONE! and I MEAN NO ONE, is to go as any character from The Labyrinth!!!!!!!! =P

Start planning your costumes! I know I am... once I decide who (from all the wonderful characters that came from 80s movies) to go as!

Frankie #35

While shopping at Woolworths this afternoon, walking up and down the aisles, I came across the magazine section. Since it's "mid-month" there was no new issues of the magazines I usually grab, but there was a copy of a magazine I usually skip past. But this time I didn't. Last week Emma did a review on the current issue of Frankie, and gave it 4 and a half cupcakes out of 5. And guess what? It was love at first sight =D
I love it's non-glossy pages, and the quirky advertisements, and, and , and ANGUS SAMPSON! If Emma had mentioned Angus Sampson I would of gone out and purchased it then and there. =D I haven't read it yet, just flicked through but I think I will enjoy it. So thanks Emma, another magazine to spend my money on =D
I will try and review it myself later.
Off to watch AVATAR!

Trying to clean my room.

This is kinda just started cleaning. I've taken the large cushion that is usually on the floor and chucked it on my bed, along with all the random clothes scattered across the room. LOOK AT ALL THE DUST UNDER MY BED!!!! OMG THAT'S GROSS!!!!!

My desk, just enough room for me to use the computer, and that's about it! Check out my haggard mousepad. HAHAHA so need a new one =D

The floor in front of my tv. I spend most of my time on the aforementioned cushion, all the semi-important things are on the floor in front of me, or stuff that has come out of my bag, and all the DVDs I've watched in the last month (because I'm too lazy to put them away)

DVD shelf is the worst. it's not in order and there are DVDs everywhere, even empty covers and discs without covers. I really should stay on top of it, but instead I wait 6 months and then spend months procrastinating about organising it (or paying my little sister $20 to do it for me)

I, hopefully, will finish cleaning today and then I will post a REAL post. =D

The Sims 3 Ambitions

I can't wait!!!!

Currently...

Listening… A playlist full of all the songs I love. But mostly 30 Seconds To Mars (gotta learn the lyrics by July) and the Glee soundtrack =D
Reading… Alice In The Country Of Hearts volume 1, a very strange manga loosely based on Alice In Wonderland, full of lots of beautiful boys (of course it's manga... what do you expect) also about to start White Tiger by Kylie Chan (I have read it before, but there are new books in the series, so I'm going to refresh before I read the new ones)
Watching… Doctor Who. Matt Smith = LOVE. I don't even remember David Tennant anymore =D. I have the next couple of episodes, but I love sitting down on Sunday nights with my family and watching it together (plus we can watch it in HD) and Masterchef. I have a girl crush on Gary, George and Matt :)
Buying… Nothing (well trying) until May 10 (2 weeks) and then I get to pre-order my iPad.
Wanting… an iPad, Doc Martens, more money and Matt Smith (or Karl Urban... or both... I'm not greedy)
Trying… to help my GORGEOUS friends to pimp their blogs =D
Loving… (gorgeous) Internet friends, Logan Miller, Matt Smith, that I have a ticket to see 30 Seconds To Mars in July, 2 weeks until iPad pre-order, 9 weeks and I'll be in Melbourne (at the Tim Burton Exhibition)
Planning… Melbourne Trip. I love planning

Writing… Not much, just scribbles in my Moleskine, lists, lists, and more lists... that sort of thing
Inspired by… New Layouts, Star (Scorpius is in the sky again), Old Magazine, Brightly coloured nail polish, Vera Wang Princess perfume (I have 3 different types now, Princess, Flower Princess and Rock Princess) need to get Glam Princess.

i wonder if i can get him to turn into the HULK

2 weeks until I can pre-order an iPad. And guess what? I've thought of a name.
BARNABY.

Lost 700grams this week. taking the total loss to 1.9kg in 2 weeks.
I was surprised when I stepped on the scales and I had lost weight, because I was expecting to put weight on.

Been a busy weekend for me. Work Work Work. Even got called in early so I had to work an 8 and a half hour shift, on my feet, with no breaks (but I did disappear for about 5 minutes after another senior showed up) and sat out the back and ate a chocolate bar =D Tonight is my last shift for this roster, and then I have 3 days off. YAY! I can't wait.

Tomorrow Avatar is out on DVD. I have promised my mum (and my bank account) that I wouldn't buy it, and I seriously think in a couple of month it will be half the price anyway. I have locked my credit card away. because slowly and slowly I'm eating away at the money I have to buy Barnaby (and go to Melbourne) After I have paid for Barnaby (and finished paying mum) HALF of my fortnightly pay is going to be put on my credit card so I can go to Melbourne. (which is only 5 paydays away =O)

I ordered Dr Horribles Sing Along Blog off ebay, so I can get Felicia Day to sign it at Supanova, but I think she will be the only one I'll see. (Other than the anime voice actors I have to see because of my friends) There is no-one exciting this year (Melbourne and Brisbane got all the good ones this year.... DAMN YOU!!!) I might poke Lou Ferringo and see if I can get him to turn into the HULK!
