Happy Australia Day

First off, Happy Australia Day to all the Australian's around the world.
I'm liking Australia Day today. I'm at home ALL on my own (for the 3rd time today) and I LOVE IT! I have my music up loud, and I'm downloading some pretty epic HI-RES images of sexy men... for example...

you need to see this one full size. look at his eye! *squee*
As well as downloading epic sexiness, I've been pimping my tumblr. It's taken all day because I find a theme I like, change it so I like it, and then I find a better theme, and it continues =D But I think I've finally found something I like.

I did some "school" work today. I finished an assessment, all I need to do now is scan it and send it. But I got an email saying they want all the assessments together, so I have 5 more to do (just for one unit), but it feels good knowing that one is done.

The weight loss is failing, yesterday I had a lapse and ate a whole 1L carton of Cookies and Cream ice cream... 74 fucking points... I only get 51 in a day. I almost died when I saw, I really should of looked it up BEFORE I ate the ice cream. So now I feel really bad about it. I just can't seem to get it right. GARH!

Anyway, I think I'm going to go outside now. BYE-EE

Tim Roth Fangirling.... again... again!

click to make big... it's soooo worth it.
photo by Francis Ford Coppola, 2007.

The reason for this? well I just bought Season 2 of Lie To Me (can't wait to get home from work tonight) also I did a list of 50 Celebrities I'd date (well there's about 60 now) but 98% of them are over 30, of that 98%, 70% are over 40. The oldest is 66 and that's George Lucas (George is even older than Liam Neeson and Alan Rickman) LOL, I am most certainly a "baby panther"

Spotted on iTunes

So when I spotted this in the iTunes store it was an automatic download. Never listened to Manic Street Preachers before, but they sure know how to make sexy album covers. TIM FUCKING ROTH for the win.

Top 5 Celeb Male Crushes.

First things first. You guys have to realise how hard this is going to be for me. Just 5. That's like telling a bird not to fly. So I'm going to cheat a little and do my current Top 5 Celeb Male Crushes. I think that will be easier.

Current Top 5 Celeb Male Crushes

1. Kevin Durand
He's not really the sort of guy I'm attracted too. He's tall, 6'6. And very muscular... which I've never been attracted too before.... until Kevin. his role as the angel Gabriel in Legion is what did it for me. And since watching Legion last week, I've watched 5 other movies with Kevin. Smokin Aces, 3.10 To Yuma, X-Men Origins - Wolverine, Walking Tall and Mystery, Alaska.

2. Sharlto Copley
Don't act so surprised.
Sharlto. He's only EVER been in 2 movies. District 9 and The A Team. Before District 9 he had NEVER acted before in his life... and considering half the script of District 9 was improv... I can pretty much say he's one of the best actors in the world.
I love his accent. That's what did it. His South African accent... As well as being good looking.

3. Tim Roth
all I need to say is one word....
HOT!
that is all.

4.Eli Roth
Just hot... especially when he's covered in fake blood and dirt.
I have no SHAME!

5. Paul Bettany
Paul is a strange one. My crushes on him don't last long, but they are quite frequent.
He did films and played the skinny, weedy underdog. He was cute, but nothing exciting. But then he played Silas in The Da Vinci Code... Paul Bettany as a bad guy???!!! That lasted for a while and then nothing.... until Inkheart. Paul Bettany as Dust Finger... then he took his shirt off.... OH EM GEE. He was no longer the skinny weedy underdog, he had muscles! Then Legion. he was the reason I wanted to watch Legion. I can't wait to see Priest.
also his voice. When I heard his voice in Iron Man I seriously had a fit, I was so excited. How lucky is Tony Stark to have a computer that sounds like Paul Bettany?

Okay, I admit that was a lot harder than I thought =D
I hope you enjoy.

Who are your Top 5 Celeb Male Crushes?

23 August 2010

you're insane, but you might also be brilliant

Duromine - Day 4. Haven't eaten as much as I would of usually over the last 4 days, so it works. And I haven't felt hungry, but I've felt empty. Sleeping is okay. It takes me a really long time to get to sleep, I spend a little while tossing and turning, but I assume I fall asleep at some point. It hasn't got any worse since the first day, but I'm still hoping it doesn't get any worse.

I decided to check out eBay again. I stopped because I got a little addicted, but I thought, just a little look. I ended up buying a pair of Tortoise Frame Ray Ban Wayfarers for $40 with free postage. They're coming from Hong Kong, so there is a chance they will be fakes, but if they look like Ray Bans and work as sunglasses, I'll be happy, and if they're real, I'll be stoked =D
This is the photo from the listing. You can't really see the Tortoise frame, but I'm in love. I looked up how to tell the difference between fake and real Ray Bans, and from what I saw in the photos on the listing, all looks good, but I need to have them in my hand and look at them closely.

I started following Tim Roth on Twitter. It's a verified account and there is lots of photos of the cast of Lie To Me. I found out last night that Mr T Roth, backed out of playing Snape in Harry Potter. Could you imagine how epic Harry Potter would of been if...
... was Severus Snape? Not saying that Alan Rickman is doing a bad job. I love Alan Rickman, but holy crap people. Tim Roth would of fucking ruled. But that's okay, that's life. If everyone who was meant to play certain characters played them, Inglourious Basterds just wouldn't be as Epically awesome. Adam Sandler as the Bear Jew.... no thanks.

Anyway. I'm off now. I have an ultrasound to see if I have PCOS, or if I'm just crazy. I really need to pee, but I can't because I'm not allowed =(

Polyvore/Me Meme/Tiny Picspam

Today I was bored (I should be cleaning) so I made 2 polyvore sets dedicated to 2 blogger/polyvore buddies.

Do you girls like them? It took a lot of blog and polyvore stalking to figure out what you liked =D You're both so different and that's awesome.
Anyway, that's pretty much all I did today. I did go to Bunnings to get 2 new shelves for my book shelf (only got charged for one, thanks stupid checkout boy =D) My bookshelf is currently half empty. Also, does anyone know what I've done with my box of Nintendo 64 games? I can't find them anywhere. I'm sure they'll show up. I just had this urge to play Donkey Kong.

I have a new meme to do. I found it while trolling Jordan's blogger (FYI - she's abandoned us and moved to Tumblr... check it out.) So here it is. More random information to add to your "stalking" folder.

1. Where is your cell phone: in front of me. Within reach. Did I mention it's an iPhone?
2. Your hair: Short, messy, almost back to it's natural colour.

12. Where do you want to be in 6 years: In a relationship, or have been in a relationship. is 6 years I'll be 30 *epic sadface*

Tim Roth Fangirling.... again!

Don't mind my slight fangirling.... but I have just realised that I have been inches.... milimetres even from something that had touched and been touched by TIM ROTH!
I didn't even think at the time. But Tim Roth has been in a Tim Burton movie, and not just any Tim Burton movie, but my 3rd favourite (yep that's right I loved Tim Burton's Planet Of The Apes.... get over it)
I knew Tim Roth played Thade, but at the time I was at the Tim Burton exhibition looking at the armor, I hadnt realised to was Thade's helmet. It didn't say, It just said "Planet Of The Apes Helmet"
Even as a scary "Ape" he's still pretty sexy.
There it is. The Helmet that I saw.... on Tim Roth's head. OMG OMG OMG!
Off to watch Planet Of The Apes now.
note to self: buy on Blu Ray.

and yes, before you ask, he does have his own blog label.

04 January 2010

just a short introduction 2.0

If you haven't noticed, I've deleted the 2 most recent posts. Mainly because they were both stupid and worthless =D So now a real post. On January 1st it was the 2 year anniversary of this blog. It's had many different faces, it started out as Cupcakes & Mustangs and then early last year it was Eclectic Geekery, and now the more vague and elusive title of The Importance Of Getting Lost. I don't know if I'm the only one that changes her blog title (and URL) so often, (It will probably change even more in the future) Does anyone else change theirs?

My first post was an introduction, it is pretty much what I'm like now, but with a couple of changes (like age =P) I've decided to re-introduce myself to all my new followers who probably haven't gone back in the achieve that far =D

Howdy, I'm Melissa. I'm 23 and live in Western Australia. I still live at home with my parents, but that's because it's too expensive to move out, especially if I don't have anyone to share with because I'm sad and only have online friends =D I drive a Honda Jazz. He's purple and named Stanley (<-- he even has his own blog label) I used to dress like an Emo, but I've never been overly Emo. I actually think I'm more Emo now, even though I no longer dress Emo =D I'm a GEEK. 138% Geek. Mostly film/tv and music geek, but it's more a mixture of everything. I work at Blockbuster, have done for almost 2 years. I'm the girl you need if you need to know what "that movie was called staring that guy who was in that other movie with that other guy" is. I usually get it, even if I haven't seen the movie. I don't know how I hold all this information about movies and tv without my brain exploding, but I do. I don't get addicted to things, but I do become obsessed. Most recent obsessions include, Billy Talent (band), Tim Roth (actor), The Sims 3 and so on.... If you go back over my blogs you can usually figure out who I'm obsessed with for that week.
My Favourite Actor is Karl Urban, hence the fact he has his own label too. I've met him. He was awesome and smelt very nice =D
My favourite bands are: Muse, Him, Billy Talent, The Used, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Rasmus, 30 Seconds to Mars.... the list goes on and one. I suggest (if you're interested) check out my Last.FM, because it's pretty much running 24/7.
I could go on for days about the stuff I love, but one thing that everyone knows about me, is I have a short attention span. So about now, I'm starting to get bored of writing. So I'm going to post some photos =D

Rambles about Xmas

the blog I posted to ourbedroom has gone crazy. over 30 comments so far =D
I love comments.

Monday, the start of another week.
Just over a week until Christmas. I still have a few more Xmas gifts to buy, and I need to send out my cards. I don't think the cards going to America will get there before Christmas. =(
I plan to do all my shopping tomorrow. I'm going to battle the crazy traffic and crazy people.
I'm so glad out family decided on Secret Santas. It means I only have to buy one present for my extended family. Which I've done already =D YAY

downloaded (and watched) the first episode of season 2 of Lie To Me yesterday. I love Tim Roth. In this episode he had to get violent and pretend to be a bastard to get a girls other personality to come out =D mmmm... sexy angry evil ROTH. *swoons*
(i do not condone violence against women, or violence against anyone)

Fictional Characters That Tickle My Fancy

inspired by cakecake185

Dr. Cal Lightman (Lie To Me)
played by Tim Roth
He's English, He's Smart, He's got the dry sarcastic sense of humour I love, and he's played by Tim Roth =D

The Doctor (Doctor Who)
played by Christopher Eccleston& David Tennant
Nine for his humour and leather jacket.
Ten for his shoes and clothes, his hair, his run, his laugh, his quirks, his humour and his brooding emo side.

Dr. Spencer Reid (Criminal Minds)
played by Matthew Gray Gubler
He's smart, young, slightly troubled, and just so damn cool.

Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy (Star Trek)
played by Karl Urban
His catchphrase "Dammit Jim I'm a Doctor not a Physicist!" "Are you out of your Vulcan mind?"

Vincent Valentine (Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children)
I know he's animated, but everyone on this list is not "real"
It's his hair and his red jacket and his emo-ness.

Jareth (The Labyrinth)
played by David Bowie
no comment!

Tony Stark (Ironman)
played by Robert Downey Jr.
It's all superficial. His House, His Cars, His Money and Him!

 Honorable Mentions
Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates Of The Caribean) played by Johnny Depp, Vaako (Chronicles Of Riddick) played by Karl Urban, Jasper Hale (Twilight Saga) played by Jackson Rathbone, Dustfinger (Inkheart) played by Paul Bettany.
