Things I Need (but can't afford)

Things I Need
(but can't afford)

in Charcoal, size XXXL please :D

If you don't know what The Reward is.

The Reward is an extraordinary nine-minute fantasy student film created at The Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark. Directed by Mikkel Mainz and Kenneth Ladekjær.

You can watch it for yourself here.

They are currently making a Youtube web series (thanks to Kickstarter funding, If I had knew about it, I would of backed them, but it's over now)

*****

in any colour
I'm not fussed, really!

I like this new Raspberry Ice colour.
They're so PRETTY!
But $799.00
so not for me anytime soon!

*****

How awesome would it be to travel around Europe in one of these!?

Seriously! It's freaking awesome!
I would probably need a little mattress for the bed space,
but hey! If I had the money, I would design my own.

*****

What do you really "need" but can't afford/justify?
Leave a comment and let me know!

Wonders Of Life

Professor Brian Cox's new series Wonders of Life aired in the UK this morning (it was 5am my time, but 9pm yesterday, their time) and I'm so excited!
I admit that I will download it to watch it! But I will also be buying in on Blu-ray as soon as it's released in Australia (or UK for that matter, because we have the same region coding)

Not only do I get to see Brian Cox, but the trailer features the re-written scientifically correct Galaxy Song by Eric Idle (from Monty Pythons Meaning of Life)

Just listen... (and watch)

I can't wait. There is also a book to go with the series, which I will buy once I have some money. Money is going to be tight for awhile. I had a drop a shift at work for school. So I'm only working 19hours a week. I'm considering going back to my old job (if they'll have me) but there are pros and cons to it.

Anyway, that's it for now :D

NOSE CRUSHER

I'm in the process of finishing off all my childcare study for the year. It's the last PUSH! Considering there was a period (which lasted since I finished my Prac in September to about... NOW) where I was positive I wasn't going to finish. But with help from a wonderful lecturer (who pretty much forced me to sit down with her) I've spent the last couple of days trying to get everything finished.
I HAVE ONE THING LEFT TO GO, but it's the biggest! It's my prac workbook and it covers 6 different units, and most of it relates back to my prac (which I can't really remember!)

BUT I CAN DO IT!

I'm also excited because next year I'm going back to finish off the Cert 3 and 4 units, I also get to do more prac, but this time in a proper childcare centre. One day a week for 20 weeks. 10 weeks with babies and 10 weeks with "big kids" ie 3-5year olds. I'm excited.

Anyway, onwards. Check out this video from Benjamin Cook.

It features pretty much every excellent youtuber in the UK, as well as a voice cameo from none other than NEIL freaking GAIMAN! I need to be Benjamin Cook.
And to make him even more awesome. He's the co-author of Doctor Who: The Writers Tale... and do you know who he co-wrote it with??? Russell T Davies! The book is pretty much just a collection of emails and text messages between Ben and RTD. The book is amazing, full of all sorts of information about Doctor Who, other RTD created series like Torchwood and Queer as Folk (UK Version). It's a pretty amazing book. I have The Final Chapter version which is a "nose crushing" 704 pages. I say "nose crushing" because, if like me, you read in bed and fall asleep and drop the book on your nose... it's a crusher!

Benjamin Cook is also amazing. I wish I could have his hair... (this picture is for all you lazy people who don't watch the video!)
Not very many 30 year old men can pull off that look... but Ben can :D

Hoping to pick up my iPad Mini tomorrow. Depending on how much I get paid. I did work extra last week. I have a list of things to pay for this week and it equals about $400... so anything more than that and I can eat during the week :D

We will see. I will do an unboxing. Even though you have all seen them before and they're a little boring in photo form :D

Bless your face.

Things I Love Thursday

Harry Potter Re-imagined as Disney Characters - I love Disney, I love Harry Potter.... this is just AMAZING! Voldemort looks scarier as a Disney villain!

I know I did a diary post yesterday, and I had pretty much decided what I wanted... until I discovered THIS... 2013 Signature Chromatic Diary! It's so beautiful!!! But again, it's a weekly vertical format, which I don't think will be enough space for me!!!

Dumb Ways To Die - BEST. COMMERICAL. EVER.! Also Tumblr page of gifs.

I was mentioned in a Youtube video by a Yogscast member. Zoey, who is probably my favouritest Yogscast member ever, asked for an adjustive and noun for her Scribblenauts video and I tweeted her "Purple Spotted Aardvark" and well that was her very first "Silly Object of the Week" (Jump to 18:35 in the video to hear her say my name!)

Only short today. I'm going to try and keep this up :D

RAINBOW CAKE!

I'm in the middle of creating this awesome cake of awesome!

I should be documenting it, but I'm not! I'm just using White Wings Angelic Vanilla Cake and adding food colouring. It's 2 cakes per box. I'm not sure what I'm going to use and filling and icing, but I have a secret ingredient! Popping Candy!!! It's going to be awesome!

This is all because it's my 26th Birthday on Tuesday and I have to take a cake into work, so I'm making the most epic cake ever!

In other news. Leonids Meteor Shower is upon as again. My sister Alex and I went out on Saturday morning (read: 1am) to see if we could get a good look, but it was a complete fail, we didn't see anything :( I got home at 4am, it was a good adventure but it would of been nice to see some meteors.

I finally have my iMac back. I took it into the local Apple retailer to get the hard drive replaced, because Apple had identified that the hard drive was faulty. I took my iMac in on October 26th! 2 weeks in I rang them and they hadn't even ordered the part yet. I was so angry. I let another week and a half pass, and luckily for them they didn't get to 4 weeks or I would of gone in very angry. But the tech did ring me and apologise for how long it took, which I appreciate, but it wouldn't of taken so long if they had ordered the part earlier. Now that my iMac is back I can play Sims 3 again. Sims 3 Seasons is out and it's awesome! I love the snow storms and the rain storms and the lightning! It is awesome.

Now I'm back to making cake! Bye-ee

X-Men: First Class Trailer

X-Men: First Class

I Bet You're Sick Of These.

Life is pretty sucky, but what else is new. I'm trying to stay positive, trying to stay happy and healthy... but sometimes, trying is a really hard thing to do.

I would really love to have a clean and organised room free from boxes and dust.
I really want to be in a new house... like now!
I WANT MY IMAC
I want to be in Perth with my friends. I'm thinking Freo Markets, IKEA, Comic Book stores, train rides etc.
I DON'T WANT TO WORK ON FRIDAY.
I want the weird dull pain in my right leg to go away.
I want to actually have some time to do some study...
It's RAINING!

I've discovered Charlieissocoollike on YouTube.

He's funny, and awesome, and Stephen Fry does the sign off...

I did successfully finish ONE QUESTION on an assessment that was supposed to be in on 2nd January, now if only I could finish the others. If I actually got off my arse and stopped wasting time blogging and actually did some work AHHHHHHHH! I'm stupid.... "I'll wait until I have my new computer" "I'll wait until I have my new room..." but that's just PROCRASTINATION is disguise!

I'm off to bed. I was going to do a Things I Love Thursday and schedule it for tomorrow (because I'm too busy to even think about it tomorrow, but I have a headache, my leg still hurts and I'm ever so slightly depressed)

I can't wait to play Sims 3 Late Night. The Vampires powers are so awesome, none of this silly Twilight stuff.

STARS

Last night, during my daily view of Kevin Durand's filmography on IMDB (I check it daily just in case something changes =D) I noticed a short film that he did. I clicked on it and read the plot. I had to watch it. It was about a Nazi soldier (Durand) who had deserted his battalion, who comes across an American. I had to find it. Well I found it, and not only did I find it, but it was in HD and posted on Youtube by the Director, Jason Eli Lewis. It only goes for 14 minutes. But it really got to me, especially part 2. You don't have to watch it, but I've embedded the videos, so if you do, you don't have to spend hours searching.

STARS part 1 (of 2)

STARS part 2 (of 2)

240810

So how is everyone today? I got up late and spent the whole day doing nothing, but now I feel bad that I wasted the day. I did clean the kitchen a little and make Chocolate Fudge Brownies, but I have a whole to do list of things to do. I only have one full day off left.
My little sister is getting her costume for book week together. She's going as Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim and it looks freaking sweet. I can't post photos until after the day, because she wants it to be a surprise to her friends (and some of them follow this blog).

Finished watching Joan of Arc last night. It was the PG version with Leelee Sobieski as Joan, and Neil Patrick Harris as King Charles. Neil looked so bad with that stupid crap haircut. Now I want to watch the MA version with Mila Jovavich as Joan, but I don't know where to find it.

SHARLTO COPLEY being crazy. (watch.... only 10 seconds long)

I'm off now. Might be back.... might not be.

Priest Trailer

Oh. Em. Gee. It's finally real.
May I present, the teaser trailer for the movie I've been waiting for since it was announced... PRIEST
Based on a manga, and staring Paul Bettany as the Priest, some guy from True Blood, some guy from Twilight and Karl fucking Urban as Blackhat (the badass Vampire bad guy) yep, it's a Vampire movie... and as much as I hate vampire films... this one I can't wait. These aren't your "regular" sexy vampires (except, obviously.... Karl Urban) these are violent vampires =D
for your information, Karl Urban is the one with the Black Hat =D

Tunesday - 15/06/2010

Dream On - Matthew Morrison & Neil Patrick Harris
Neil Patrick Harris can hit the most Epic high notes.

Soaked by Adam Lambert (written by Matt Bellamy)
I'm not a big fan of Adam Lambert, but I love this song. Obviously, at first, it was because it was written by Matt Bellamy, but now I just realise it's an awesome song.

I Will Not Bow - Breaking Benjamin (fan made District 9 video) (District 9 spoilers) if you haven't seen District 9, you can watch the Official Music Video here, but I like the District 9 one better.
Breaking Benjamin is just one of those bands that I love, but not really. I don't own any of their albums but I have a couple of their songs, and their songs are awesome. Huge, inspiring rock songs.

Speaking of Tunesday.
Guess what arrived in the mail today?
tickets to MUSE!
Fuck Yeah!

Dirty Jobs

It's an awesome show that's on ABC2. It's kinda gross. Mike Rowe the presenter is really funny. You should check it out. Except of course, if you're a little squeamish.

Hilarious

iPad + Velcro from Jesse Rosten on Vimeo.

awesome idea, except for the fact that i think i would be too scared to actually do it. I know for a fact that no matter how "industrial strength" velcro is, doesn't mean it's gonna hold!
