30 Seconds To Mars

I wasn't in charge of taking photos. When I'm at concerts I don't want to spend the whole time hoping that the photos turn out okay. So my little sisters (yes both of them) were taking photos. At one point during the concert Jared disappeared off stage and appeared at the back of the stadium in the Audio control pit. We were only 2 people back. If I wanted I could of reached out and touched him (and I did try). I have video of while he was in the pit, but I tried to upload it, but I just couldn't get it to work =(
Here are a couple of photos (of Jared mostly) and at the end, the Setlist.

Jared dragged some people onto the stage for the last song. Kings and Queens.
Yes... he is wearing light blue nail polish (PS... I bought one of those necklaces)

The night was awesome. As much as I didn't want to go before hand, once I got there the adrenaline kicked in and it was all go. 30 Seconds To Mars have moved to the top of my "best live bands ever" list .

Tunesday - 15/06/2010

Dream On - Matthew Morrison & Neil Patrick Harris
Neil Patrick Harris can hit the most Epic high notes.

Soaked by Adam Lambert (written by Matt Bellamy)
I'm not a big fan of Adam Lambert, but I love this song. Obviously, at first, it was because it was written by Matt Bellamy, but now I just realise it's an awesome song.

I Will Not Bow - Breaking Benjamin (fan made District 9 video) (District 9 spoilers) if you haven't seen District 9, you can watch the Official Music Video here, but I like the District 9 one better.
Breaking Benjamin is just one of those bands that I love, but not really. I don't own any of their albums but I have a couple of their songs, and their songs are awesome. Huge, inspiring rock songs.

Speaking of Tunesday.
Guess what arrived in the mail today?
tickets to MUSE!
Fuck Yeah!

Monday 7th June 2010

FIRST OFF. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO the gorgeous Natalie @ XL as Life and sexy Karl Urban.
OKAY NOW FOR TODAYS RECAP & PICSPAM.
Up early (for a public holiday) to order tickets to what is going to be the defining music moment of my whole entire life!
Morning tea with Mum, Dad, Alex, Kaitlin, Nana, Aunty Jo, Uncle Justin, Aunty Sarah & Logan. I haven't seen Logan in a week and he's grown so much since then. He's so smiley now, and it doesn't take him 10 minutes to figure out who I am. He was sitting at the end of the table with me, in a big boy chair, using empty coke bottles as drum sticks. He's such a cutie.
Then I came home and pretty much played Sims 3 until about an hour ago. =O Which is pretty much all day. I was going to do a "What's In My Bag?" photo/post for Flickr but didn't end up doing it. Maybe tomorrow.

You may have also noticed the temporary change of blog background. To celebrate "Me getting tickets to Muse"day. And here is a Musespam to top it all off.

Things I Love Thursday

Things I Love ThursdayFashion Trends & Styles - Polyvore

Things I Love Thursday by princess.geek on Polyvore.com

It's Thursday again. It's taken me about an hour to create this set, because of my shaped internet =( But I did it.

♥ After Midnight Project. They're a band I discovered a couple a months ago with iTunes recommended me. They're good... really good. They're songs are catchy and the lyrics are excellent. 2 songs in particular really get to me emotionally, The Criminal & Fighting My Way Back.
♥ Empire Magazine June 2010 Issue (Australia). Featuring The A Team. Whose excited about it? I know I am. Another chance to see Sharlto Copley (District 9). As well as Bradley Cooper and Patrick Wilson.
♥ iPad. It better arrive tomorrow. I'm sure it will. As of this second (according to the tracking details) it's in transit between here and Perth. YAY!
♥ Muse. THEY'RE COMING BACK TO AUSTRALIA! and playing in Perth (http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=111202642257311) - I'm so going. But I will have to get tickets as soon as they're released so I don't miss out. And with the tickets estimated to cost between $100-$120, There goes some Melbourne funds =(. Tickets are on sale June 7th.
♥ Inglourious Basterds. Haven't watched it in awhile, but I've been having Inglourious Basterd "dreams" ;) mainly concerning the Bear Jew (Eli Roth) & Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt)
♥ Futurama. I believe, a better series than The Simpson. I like it better.

and Vince Noir is for the fact that me and a guy at work have been quoting The Mighty Boosh all afternoon.

Pretty Picspam

howdy fellow bloggers and readers. I think it's pretty picspam time:
The (sometimes) wonderful world of Melissa is pretty good at the moment. I have so many awesome things to look forward too in the next couple of month. The iPad *cough* nerd *cough* (shut up I'm an Apple 'fanboy') my trip to Melbourne with my friend Tahlia (10 weeks until we fly out) and then the 30 Seconds To Mars concert (which funnily on my "ex-cousins" birthday. HAHAHAHA take that bitch =P) after that, not much, but I'm hoping to weigh less and be a smidgen happier. I've cut out desserts (ever noticed what desserts is spelt backwards.... STRESSED!) and I'm doing well so far.... no sugary treats since Wednesday. But I'm still eating the occasional take away. Chinese for dinner with Tahlia, Subway for Lunch and today, the worse of all, Hungry Jacks (now I feel bloated and ill). I'm still hoping that I've lost some weight this week, even if it's just a little bit. Exercise is still nonexistant at the moment.

The new Doctor Who is awesome. Matt Smith has really surprised me. He's actually quite good, maybe even (I can't believe I'm saying this) better than David Tennant (acting-wise). The first episode is on tonight (for Western Australia viewers (not sure about the rest of the country/world)) on ABC1 @ 7.30pm.

Anyway. That's it for this evening. Good night =D
