My iMac is at the computer hospital :( Apple recalled certain iMac hard drives, but at least I get a replacement for free. I've been having trouble with my hard drive for ages so YAY for new Hard Drive! Hopefully Benny will be back soon!! Look at the sad empty space where Benny once sat! :(

I tried my hand... or hips.... at Salsa on Wednesday night with my new awesome friend Katherine, and I failed so much! OH SO MUCH FAIL! I can't "wiggle my hips" and I'm so unco, that I ended up with MOTION SICKNESS! Motion Sickness from Dancing... and even thinking about it now makes me feel sick! I feel so bad, because Katherine really wants me to keep going, but it's really not my thing :D

In other news, I got another job. Just a casual flexible job doing some Merchandising :D I had my first "Journey" today and it went really well and I'm very please with the results :D

Anyway, just a little update post. I know I've been pretty slack with updates recently. Sorry :D

RIP Steve Jobs

You have probably heard, but Steve Jobs former CEO of Apple has died.

It's very sad, because he was a true visionary. People would argue the point with me, but who else in this world was able to create something that nearly every single person would want? I work in an area that sells Apple iPods and I sell at least one a day! Every person I know, has at least one Apple product, or at least knows of Apple. I'm a recent convert from PC to Apple, and I'll never look back.

Last night my dad asked me to google Steve Jobs and see if he was getting better. I wasn't able to find anything, mostly blogs bitching about how he wasn't at the announcement of the iPhone 4S, WELL NOW YOU KNOW WHY!

I really loved this simple dedication they did to Steve on the Apple site. (don't mind my awesome Pokemon wallpaper (even if it does make it hard to find anything on my desktop))

I also did my own dedication.

I actually had the idea to do this last night, but never got around to it. So I did it this morning after I heard the news. Steve Jobs will watch over my village :) Hopefully a creeper won't blow him up.

Rest In Peace Steve Jobs.

bought The Sims Medieval - it's so freaking awesome!

Found a dead pixel on my mac screen. rang Apple, they sent a techie to have a look, Techie just happened to be the girl who was my BESTEST friend in Primary School, who I haven't seen in about 10 years (it was pretty awkward) anyway long story short, Apple won't do anything about dead pixel, because there is only one :( it's right in the middle of the screen, but it is unnoticable unless you look really hard.

Got to go and have a look at our new house. Settlement is Noon on Tuesday. Quite excited. Had a look in the wardrobe in my room, and they're pretty awesome, there's drawers in them, and lots of space, so I'll be able to hide a lot of stuff. I have claimed the master bedroom, hopefully dad is okay with that (he said I could have it a couple of weeks ago) The room is a lot smaller than I imagined it, like it always is... but we all feel really comfortable in the house. It needs some work, but no where as much work at this house (the old one) does.

Bought some awesome military style jewellery from Diva (photo below) and also, FINALLY, found a Military jacket in my size, from Best and Less for only $30.

I downloaded the song "I See The Light" from the Tangled soundtrack, just so I can listen to Zachary Levi (Chuck from "Chuck") sing :)

I also got a new WRECK THIS JOURNAL!

I haven't started it yet. My last one is pretty "wrecked". But I think I'm going to wait until I've moved into the new house before I start it.

That's pretty much my week. Full of ups and downs. Next week is going to be very hectic and emotional. Next week we move house. THE FIRST TIME I'VE EVER MOVED HOUSE EVER! I'm going to try and do a video blog for it or something. I'm going to be without internet at the new house from April 1st until whenever. So from April 1st it will pretty much be just Twitter from me.

News & New Stuff

If you are a facebook friend, or follow me on Twitter you'll know that WE GOT A HOUSE. We actually got the house that we all liked and for $20,000 less than the owners were asking for. But that's all I know at the moment, because I haven't had any time to speak to dad in the last few days. Yesterday was very stressful. Dad put in his final offer and we waited. Kelly (the real estate agent) rang at lunch time and told dad the good news, but dad was feeling very unsure about it, he's worried he can't afford it, because he lost a day at his job, but I think everything will be okay.

ANYWAY NEW STUFF. First off, this new app on my iPhone called Instagram, that lets you take photos and add awesome old school filters to them. If you follow my TUMBLR you would of seen them. My best photo so far is this one...

I love the old school frame and colouring, plus PC is a supermodel when it comes to getting photos taken, unlike Cous Cous, who I chased around for an hour and didn't manage to get any good photos.

Jelly Bean is going well. I have entered a meaningful long term relationship with him. He's just so smart and sexy and drives me crazy (obviously, because I'm talking about a machine like it's a human being)

Anyway... new stuff. Just DVDs, but I've taken photos of them with Instagram, so they look pretty.

 The Lost Thing. Animated short created by Shaun Tan. It came with a limited edition book with illustration by Shaun Tan. It's now one of my life goals to buy all of Shaun Tans' books, because they're amazing.

Pushing Daisies Season 1. This series is amazing. It's quirky, strange and lovely. The pie maker can bring people back to life with one touch, and the second touch kills them again PERMANENTLY. When the love his life, Chuck, dies, he's touches her. Now they live together but he can't touch her because then she'll die. The pie maker uses his powers to help his PI buddy solve murders.
It's a seriously excellent show, it reminds me of the Tim Burton film Big Fish. And everyone that has ever rented it from Blockbuster, loved it. (there is only 2 season, which is sad. But it's so good you can watch it over and over again)

Life Season 1 & 2. Reason for buying this??? Damian Lewis. I've only seen a couple of episodes, and it was on sale at Target, so I just couldn't resist (you know me)

So that's today for you. It was suppose to be my day off, but I got called into work at Target, which I didn't mind... more money. I'm feeling a lot less stressed now that we have a house to move into. I didn't like that period of not knowing where I'd be living next year, but now I do. YAY.

Anyway off to the bookstore to pick up some books and buy the new Frankie magazine.

Meet Jelly Bean

There he is... this is Jelly Bean (yeah I know... random name!) he's amazing, it's pretty much love at first site. He's everything I need in a man, he smart, easy to talk to, fun to play with.... and SEXY! Yeah I know.... I'm crazy (but all the best people are) ISSUES, just the glare problem, but that can be fixed by moving the screen... or even easier, closing my blind, and so becoming a total recluse. DVDs look okay, blown to full screen they're a little pixelated, but it depends on the DVD, Big Bang Theory season one was really pixelated and just bad, where Star Trek was fine, almost unnoticeable, so it depends on how the movie was produced. THE MOUSE IS AWESOME! Beyond awesome. I thought it would be a hassle to use, but it's quite easy... THE SCREEN IS HUGE. I can't have anything maximised because it's just too big, instead (like in the photo) I can pretty much have everything open and viewable at the same time.... Safari (internet), Twitter, Chat, iTunes etc. I have managed to transfer my music, but thats about it, but my external hard drive is connected all the time so it's not hard to access my information. I finally (after hours of playing) got my emails to work through iMail (or whatever it's called) haven't tried iCal, Contacts or any of the iLife series (wait I lie, I used iPhoto to upload the above photo to facebook, without even open the internet browser) I've installed Sims 3, which looks amazing at full resolution (except for the task bar thingy is tiny in the corner... and the controls are different to PC, so thats a little weird) and I haven't plugged in my iPhone or my iPad yet. but I'm about to plug in my iPhone and see what happens.... hopefully all hell doesn't break lose.

Still here. It worked, with no hassle at all. GO APPLE. I went into EB Games today and I was talking the guys and they don't like macs. LOL... what losers :P

Yep, thats right, after only ordering it 30 hours ago, my iMac is here and he's beautiful. I've named him Jelly Bean... not that he has anything in common with a jelly bean.... except how much I love them. The epic-ness of it all, if very overwhelming.... plus I have to go to work tonight so I'll have to leave him at home with my Dad and sisters. OMG! and it's too late to call someone to cover.... yes I've already thought about that. Pictures soon. The glass screen has major glare issues, but once the sun has gone down (and I've finished work) I'll take some photos for you.


BTW.... first post done on my iMac. Go Me! WOO!

So Albany Apple store couldn't order my iMac for me and give me a student discount. So I ordered it online this morning before work and when I checked at lunch time it had shipped....

YAY! so excited, so I'm hoping on Wednesday (when I get home from work at 1.30) it will be here! HOPEFULLY! Quite Excited. Gratuitous iMac interior design pictures...
