Benny Salsa Merchandising

My iMac is at the computer hospital :( Apple recalled certain iMac hard drives, but at least I get a replacement for free. I've been having trouble with my hard drive for ages so YAY for new Hard Drive! Hopefully Benny will be back soon!! Look at the sad empty space where Benny once sat! :(

I tried my hand... or hips.... at Salsa on Wednesday night with my new awesome friend Katherine, and I failed so much! OH SO MUCH FAIL! I can't "wiggle my hips" and I'm so unco, that I ended up with MOTION SICKNESS! Motion Sickness from Dancing... and even thinking about it now makes me feel sick! I feel so bad, because Katherine really wants me to keep going, but it's really not my thing :D

In other news, I got another job. Just a casual flexible job doing some Merchandising :D I had my first "Journey" today and it went really well and I'm very please with the results :D

Anyway, just a little update post. I know I've been pretty slack with updates recently. Sorry :D

I got my tax back today!

And have already successfully spent $2000 of it!

Then I paid $500 towards my childcare course.

I also purchased a cover for my Macbook.

I looked around forever. A friend on Twitter recommended one, that I was only able to find on eBay for $80! So I did some research and decided on a Speck SeeThru Case, a little less expensive at $59.95, but I was able to purchase it from Apple, so I don't have to worry about getting a "dodgy" cover from China. I couldn't decide on the colour, so I just bought a clear one for now :D

I'm more excited about starting TAFE again :) It will good to be studying again! And I am going to try VERY hard not to procrastinate all year :D

It's Tax Time

It's Tax Time.
That means I have money! Well not yet, when I get around to figuring out my tax.
I have grown up tax items this year. Back in the day when it was just income and a few deductions, doing my tax was easy. Now I have Shares to declare (dividends and franking credits), private health insurance, a HELP debt (from the interior design course that I didn't do) and other annoying grown up things!

I'm getting a substantial about back. And since my iPad is starting to get old and dated, I've decided to upgrade to a MacBook Air.

I've priced it and decided which one I want! 11 inch i7, 8GB RAM and 128GB Solid State Hard drive. I went into the local retailer and fell in love. They're so light and slick and pretty (like most Apple products) I was going to sell my iPad, but have decided (for now) to keep it.

I've also signed up to do my Certificate 3 & 4 in Childcare. It's going to be pretty full on for the first term, with work and study, but term two of TAFE is just work experience, but because I need to work with school aged kids, I have to work in the afternoons, but I have work in the afternoons, I will probably have to work over the school holidays :) I'm very excited about studying again.

That's pretty much whats been happening. I haven't been online much, and haven't been doing much (other than work and avoiding talking to my "new family members")

I will try and stay up to date.

Meet Jelly Bean

There he is... this is Jelly Bean (yeah I know... random name!) he's amazing, it's pretty much love at first site. He's everything I need in a man, he smart, easy to talk to, fun to play with.... and SEXY! Yeah I know.... I'm crazy (but all the best people are) ISSUES, just the glare problem, but that can be fixed by moving the screen... or even easier, closing my blind, and so becoming a total recluse. DVDs look okay, blown to full screen they're a little pixelated, but it depends on the DVD, Big Bang Theory season one was really pixelated and just bad, where Star Trek was fine, almost unnoticeable, so it depends on how the movie was produced. THE MOUSE IS AWESOME! Beyond awesome. I thought it would be a hassle to use, but it's quite easy... THE SCREEN IS HUGE. I can't have anything maximised because it's just too big, instead (like in the photo) I can pretty much have everything open and viewable at the same time.... Safari (internet), Twitter, Chat, iTunes etc. I have managed to transfer my music, but thats about it, but my external hard drive is connected all the time so it's not hard to access my information. I finally (after hours of playing) got my emails to work through iMail (or whatever it's called) haven't tried iCal, Contacts or any of the iLife series (wait I lie, I used iPhoto to upload the above photo to facebook, without even open the internet browser) I've installed Sims 3, which looks amazing at full resolution (except for the task bar thingy is tiny in the corner... and the controls are different to PC, so thats a little weird) and I haven't plugged in my iPhone or my iPad yet. but I'm about to plug in my iPhone and see what happens.... hopefully all hell doesn't break lose.

Still here. It worked, with no hassle at all. GO APPLE. I went into EB Games today and I was talking the guys and they don't like macs. LOL... what losers :P

Computer Is Dying

My computer (Bruce, aka Batman) is dying. very slowly, and it's annoying. I was going to wait until after I get back to re-format but I'm thinking I'm going to do it ASAP. First things first. Get all the shit I want to kept off.
Then... Windows 7.
I don't think I have enough space to save all the stuff I need to save. So I'm culling. Stuff I haven't touched in years, photos of people I don't really care about anymore, and songs that I don't even know why I have.

Rambles & Sexy Men

Haven't blogged as much as I usually do. I've been playing The Sims 3 and twittering =P (you can follow me by click on the bluebird at the top of the page!)

So I've been sick over the last week (not Swine Flu.... which strangely has not been mentioned much on the News in the last couple of days..... or is that because I've been playing too much Sims and haven't watched the news???) I'm recovering, but because I have shitty sinuses. My whole head is blocked up and I can only partially hear probably, which is a bitch.
I've been saving up for a laptop, but I have decided that I don't want a laptop. I have no need for one. I have a perfectly fine (totally awesome) desktop computer, and I don't go traveling and I don't go out, so there is no need for me to have a laptop. =D

It's a bitch not being able to hear probably =(

I got my Computer back... with a new hard drive. I'm very excited, but sad, because it's so empty =(

• Twilight movie, watched it last night... it's actually quite good... not excellent, but good. CARLISLE = HOT!

I Hate Summer

I just realised it's summer. I hate summer =( it's hot and muggy.

I should be getting Bruce back today, and then I'll do some real blogging.

Bruce's Brain Transplant

Still Bruce-less. obviously I have access to a computer, even if it's a really slow laptop. I'm hoping that I will have bruce back by tomorrow. I went into town and I bought a 1TB (1000Gb) external hard drive, and a 750GB internal hard drive (which i gave to nigel so he can get my computer working) so when i get my old hard drive replaced, i'll have 2 internal hard drives, 500gb & 750GB and a 1TB external, and a 160GB external. so I will have 2410gb, of storage space. =O

bruce is dead

so guess what? My hard drive is dead. Completely and utterly dead with no chance of saving any of the data on it :( so i'm feeling very depressed and angry at myself for not backing up my data. Its the first, uno numero IT rule :( i seriously think, when it finally hits me, i'm going to cry :( *sigh*

Bruce Is Sad ='(

my computer shat itself today, so I won't be online much. I think it's the hard drive. but we'll see. bruce (my computer) is currently at Nigels. I'm hoping it's not the hard drive, and just the sata port (IT speak), but when i turned it on, and went into the BIOS it wasn't recognising my hard drive. It's annoying because I was using my computer last night and tured it off as normal.

I hope it's not a virus or something. And I hope I don't lose everything, because I haven't backed anything up =(

so right now I'm sitting at my little sisters (alex) new desk, on the family laptop. I was able to get rid of he, by making her go upstairs to check a song in The Sims =D

layouts sims food

So, if you haven't noticed yet (you need a new brain if you haven't) I have a new layout... again. I got a little bit annoyed with the other one, because it was small and I had to resize all the images I posted. With this layout I won't need to resize, and I can fit a music player on the sidebar (Yes!)

The only thing that annoys me, if the blog tab, looks different to the others (the alignment is out) and I can't figure out how to fix it (grr!) But I changed everything else I didn't like, actually the layout looked pretty different before I hacked away at it.

So anyway, I've been playing Sims 2 recently, and it's starting to get boring =( I really can't wait until The Sims 3 (now that I have a computer that won't shit itself when I try to play it) I've downloaded heaps of Sims 2 content, but haven't gotten around to installing it, and plus since I installed the last expansion pack (Mansion and Garden Stuff) I haven't been able to see it, even when I allow it. =( Anyway I haven't eaten all day so I'm going to go find something yum to eat!

Semi Illegal Goings On =D

I finally found a ipod video converter that actually works, well kinda. I should be able to do YouTube videos, but it doesn't. But I can convert from DVD to ipod. YAY! I've converted a film that I already had on my computer. and right now I'm trying a DVD.

The DVD worked, but I was stupid and selected the wrong audio so I know have Transformers with the Audio Commentary =P So i have to do it again!!! HAHAHA! but while I wait I'm downloading Movie Trailers from iTunes Store =D

Delia & Labret Piercings

do you know who this women is? all i know is her name is Delia and she composed (wrote) the theme tune to DOCTOR WHO! how freaking awesome is that. I mean a women in the 50s that actually worked at BBC (she was the only women there at the time) and actually did something huge! Like super huge... intergalacticly HUGE! YAY!

i wish i was like her. instead of this lazy it nerd that works at a video shop! I want to be remembered for doing something awesome. Doesn't have to be worldwide recognition, just recognition =D



That is how I want my lip pierced. It's called a vertical labret piercing. where the barbel goes thru the lip and doesn't actually show on the other side of the lip. but obviously because it has 2 sides showing, it will be harder to get away with at work, so I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon. i wish it would, but I'm a wuss and worried about what would happen at work, and with the parents if I did it. =(

Busy Playing Sims!

Haven't been online recently, because I have a new computer and it makes The Sims 2 run so well, better than I've ever seen it before (so fast and detailed (YAY!)) so I've been playing Sims, as well as Spore, but I got stuck in Spore so I stopped playing it! =D

It's so weird walking into my room and seeing Vista running on my computer screen. I haven't got used to it yet! But still! I LOVE IT! IT'S FREAKING AWESOME!

HELL YEAH

Guess what I did last night? I played Spore... on my new computer! HELL YEAH! It was extremely cool and exciting! I made it all the way through to Civilisation. The Creature stage was the most fun! I'm going to install Sims 2 later on today, after my haircut.

That is Jerna (randomly Generated Name) at Tribal level. He evolved alot since the beginning.

Anyhoo, I'm sure there will be more picture soon. I have to get ready for my haircut!

i'm watching criminal minds. I love reid! :) i'm such a sucker for geeks and nerds :) i'm really hoping that my parts for my computer show up tomorrow, i'm so excited and can't wait to play spore. I've got so many ideas :) i'm going to start taking photos again. I have been looking at photos on deviantart and there are so many beautiful photos. Anyhoo back to criminal minds :)

Plus, you'll be happy to know, my room is now, relatively clean! =D I need to vacume again. And put some more posters up. But overall it's clean... cleaner than what it was a couple of days ago!

I'm still patiently waiting for my computer. I know it could take awhile. I'm just excited that it's happening! Finally. My current computer is almost 6 years old! =O I'm ashamed of myself! I'm an IT geek and I'm using a 6 year old computer!!!! (Shun!)

Anyhoo, have to go and put petrol in my car and pick my sister up from school!
