Things I Love Thursday

YOGSQUEST.
As most of my readers know
I love Minecraft
and I also love The Yogscast.
They're a group of English Youtubers who I found through their Minecraft videos
But they play lots of different games etc.
This week, in celbration of Geek Week on Youtube
They decided to play Dungeons and Dragons... in character.
And it's fucking hilarous.
It is called YOGSQUEST

There are 3 episodes up (as of this post)
They also added Shirts to their Merch store.
So I ordered one.
It's my first Yogscast shirt.
And it's awesome.
Here's the design

ASOS New Look Inspire Comic Print Dress.
It arrived.
The fabric is nice and bright and a good thickness.
But even being a size 26, it's still a little tight.
It clings to my rolls :)
but if I have a flowy top over it, it would hide that I think.
Pictures to come... I promise :D

Oblivion!
I watched it last night.
I was worried because it's pretty much just Tom Cruise for the whole film.
BUT IT WAS GOOD!
The twist in the middle got me!
Didn't see that one coming.
The special effects were amazing!

Plus Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was in it!

Of Dragons & Fanart

One of the girls in my class is selling her Bearded Dragons.
She has a breeding pair and a baby!
It's $500 for the baby including enclosure and heat lamp etc.
and $1000 for the pair, with all the stuff.

I really want one.
But I can't because I'm moving in with mum and it's no pets :( even fish etc.
so they will probably say no to a Bearded Dragon! :(
Plus, I need to get a reptile licence to have one.

So being the responsible person that I am.
As much as I want one.
I will not get one at this point in time :(

Tomorrow I will post the last day of the 10 Day Challenge.
I'll also hopefully post my first Animal Crossing post :D
Today I went and visited @comicstars' town and got some Peaches to grow!
I also sold my perfect oranges in her town for $22,500!!!
I'm glad oranges don't cost that much in real life!

This is my new wallpaper on my computer!
Wonderful Sips/Sjin fanart by Nina-Serena
click to see it in glorious beauty!

Anyway.
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
Bring on next week!

Bye-ee

MAY!

May is over.
It's winter.
I love winter.

May was pretty awesome.

STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS
or more so
BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH!
I don't know if you could call it a review.
more of a fangirl geekgasm!

Doctor Who Series 7 Part 2.... ie the new NEIL GAIMAN episode!
Which was amazing!
It had Warrick Davis in it.
and Cybermen!
as well as John Hurt.
But I won't go into that because.... SPOILERS!

Minecraft Server.
I was invited to join TheGrumpyHusky's minecraft server.
I'm the only girl.
There is 4 of us.
I made a tour video.

I'm adorable :D

Game of Thrones.
I haven't watched any of Season 3 yet.
Over the weekend they had the Red Wedding episode.
Everyone is so sad and full of feels.
I knew who was going to die.
It will probably still be sad.

I'm looking forward to June.
SUPANOVA.

and then July.
PAX!

Other things that happened in May.

I've become motivated to EXERCISE!
I have a personal trainer (I got 3 free sessions when I joined the gym, but I think I'll pay for more)
she's amazing!

I acquired this.
That, dear friends is the 30+ disc Harry Potter Wizarding Collection!
It's freaking amazing! Each film has 3+ discs, there are bonus discs, books, postcards.
I will do a video "unboxing" one day :D

Anyway.
love yous.

Minecraft: The Story of Mojang

All Minecraft fans need to watch Minecraft: The Story of Mojang from 2 Player Productions.
The idea started as a Kickstarter that was able to raise all the money it needed.

It's now available to download from 2 Player Productions for $US8, or you can go all out (like I will do when I get paid) and buy the 2 disc special edition DVD for $US20+$US10 p&h (there are also t-shirts and the soundtrack from C418)

It has interviews from all the creators, youtubers and fans :D Lots of awesome behind the scenes and just general Minecraft awesome!

Any Minecraft mad fan (like me) needs to watch this movie.

A Post About Me, Sydney & Minecraft!

Picspam... this one is a little bit different because I took all the photos.
I’ve been using an iPhone app called Hipstamatic, it’s not free. I purchased it for $5.99 and then you can purchase more “lenses” “film” and “flashes” in app for from 99c to $1.99.
It’s like Instagram but you have more choices in filter options. You can mix film and lenses to get different effects, and the most awesome option... Shake to randomise, which is heaps of fun :)

3 weeks until I go to Sydney. I’ve decided not to plan too much once I’m there and just go with it. When I plan everything down to the second I get stressed out, so I’ve decided to just chill and have fun. Im excited about going to Toronga Zoo and seeing animals I’ve never seen before, like the Kodiak Bear and Condor and Snow Leopard... So EXCITED!
I went through all the photos on my iPhone... all 1568 of them. Its amazing how much a complete stranger could probably learn about me by what photos where on my iPhone... and my obsessions over the last couple of years!
Melissa’s Epic Adventure of Awesomeness Checklist

  • Window Seat into Sydney
  • Train from Sydney Airport to Hotel (MUST REMEMBER NOT TO PACK TOO MUCH)
  • Harry Potter Exhibition
  • Purchase of AWESOME Harry Potter merchandise! (I want another wand... I have Snapes’ wand already, I really want Scabiors’ but I don’t think it will be available, so maybe Lucius Malfoy or Draco Malfoy :D)
  • Successfully journey through Sydney City Centre (by foot or Public Transport) to find the Ferry Wharf.
  • Get on the right Ferry to Toronga Zoo
  • See awesome animals! Take awesome photos. (I’m taking my sisters Canon EOS digital SLR Camera... it’s heavy as fuck, but takes awesome photos)
  • Take photos of Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge
  • Find Bunn Street (it’s rather close to where I’m staying)
  • DON’T PANIC!
I am extremely nervous about going on my own, but with all the shit that’s going on with my family at the moment it will be good to get away from them... especially over Valentines Day...

I got a hold of the newest version of Minecraft (it was actually posted by Mojang) which features a new biome... JUNGLES! and it's epic! The trees are HUGE! It's going to be so much fun to build real tree houses that span between trees... also Vines that are attached to solid blocks are climbable :)

That's all for today. It's been so hot lately :( Stupid hot weather!

RIP Steve Jobs

You have probably heard, but Steve Jobs former CEO of Apple has died.

It's very sad, because he was a true visionary. People would argue the point with me, but who else in this world was able to create something that nearly every single person would want? I work in an area that sells Apple iPods and I sell at least one a day! Every person I know, has at least one Apple product, or at least knows of Apple. I'm a recent convert from PC to Apple, and I'll never look back.

Last night my dad asked me to google Steve Jobs and see if he was getting better. I wasn't able to find anything, mostly blogs bitching about how he wasn't at the announcement of the iPhone 4S, WELL NOW YOU KNOW WHY!

I really loved this simple dedication they did to Steve on the Apple site. (don't mind my awesome Pokemon wallpaper (even if it does make it hard to find anything on my desktop))

I also did my own dedication.
I actually had the idea to do this last night, but never got around to it. So I did it this morning after I heard the news. Steve Jobs will watch over my village :) Hopefully a creeper won't blow him up.

Rest In Peace Steve Jobs.

Hot Guy Movie Night

Last Saturday I had one of my friends come over for a "hot guy movie night"... well technically we started watching movies at 2.30pm :) Here's what we watched.

Your Highness - for me it was Damian Lewis, I think Jen was watching it for James Franco. Jen didn't really like it. She said that she hasn't decided if she likes it or not. If you haven't seen it, it's pretty much Pineapple Express but set in Medieval time. The music reminded me of Sims Medieval :)

Star Trek - I watched for Karl Urban (of course!) and Jen watched for Anton Yelchin (she has a "very soft spot for that young lovely")

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - First time watching. AWESOME film. Was confused the whole way through, but was totally worth it for Robert Downey Jr.

Source Code - I hadn't seen this movie before. I'm not a huge fan of Jake but Jen wanted to watch it. It was quite good, and surprisingly didn't hurt my head :)

Priest - I MADE JEN WATCH THIS MOVIE! I don't think she liked it :( hahaha I LOVE IT!

Hitman - Jen wanted to watch for Timothy Olyphant, I didn't complain :)

It was a pretty awesome night. We ate yum food (Jen made Hawaiian Chicken) and we swooned over hot boys. We are going to plan another on in the next couple of weeks. We just need to come up with another list of movies. May force her to watch Legion :)

Now I'm off to play Minecraft :) Creative mode is fun. My minecraft world is dotted with random 8bit awesomes :)

GUESS WHO!?

Adventures In The Boringest World EVER!

I decided I was going to do a little adventure in Minecraft and post it on my blog. It all started out great. Huge mountains etc, and then it went to shit!

SPAWN: Surrounded by huge mountains. At least I didn't spawn in a tree

Minecraft

Have you seen the new Blogger interface? AWESOME and white and awesome. I love it!

I know I've been a bit "absent" lately... a couple of reason, 1) really not that enthused about blogging and 2) MINECRAFT... One word EPIC! As far as I know, a large amount of my followers play, and those of you that don't... you totally should. I've just downloaded the "leaked" update... but considering it was "leaked" by Notch the creator of Minecraft... it's not really a leak is it. It cost me $21 to register and the game is free to download, so I can log in from any computer that has it (won't have my saved awesome worlds) but it's still fun. I use Minecraft with 2 mods. Yogbox and TooManyItems, but I'm getting bored of having all the items available freely, and I've started actually searching for them. With 1.8 I have to have a fresh install, so I'll lose access to the mods (which will now have to be updated anyway)
Epic cave/mountain

my mountain mansion

on top of the world

the nether. I'm NEVER going back there!!!

I'm still having a hard time finding things to say so if you want to read some more information about Minecraft you should check out Emma's new blog, A Cupcake in a Cupcake. She's the whole reason I even got into Minecraft.
