5 Geeky Clothing Items I Need!

I adore the colour! I'm already a huge fan of tortoise shell, but this green is amazing!
Unfortunately they don't ship to Australia, which is really disappointing, because if they did I would order these straight away!

I missed the kickstarted campaign by mere minutes!
I really love the olive green one. I'm not sure how much it costs to ship to Australia, but $US65 is a pretty good price for a hoodie that looks very well made.
They also do cloaks!

Who wouldn't want gold Loki leggings?
So cute!

There are heaps of other geeky clothing that I want... but I had to chose 5!
What 5 geeky clothing items do you need??

Bella Box

I love subscription boxes, what a wonderful idea!
I was subscribed to NerdBlock and LootCrate, but cancelled my subscription to save some money.
I miss the monthly box of goodies, so I went searching for some more.
I watched a video of BirchBox, a makeup and cosmetics box, but they don't ship to Australia (or they do, but its very expensive) so I went searching for subscription boxes based in Australia.
I found Bella Box, which is also a makeup and cosmetics box.
It costs $AU15 a month with free shipping.
I've never been into makeup, I don't really know what's out there, so a subscription box is a great idea for me to discover new products!
When it arrives I will do a review.
I'm looking forward to getting it.

In other news, if you don't follow my weight loss blog. My surgery went well, and I'm feeling great. I have lost 16.5kg since 29th August!

Biker Parka & Mood Boards

I've been lusting after this ASOS Biker Parka for ages! Since I first saw it on the website, but at $127, I couldn't justify it, I've been checking on it for awhile, slowly waiting for the price to go down. Then it did to $89... I still urm-ed and ah-ed about it... but I'm heading to Sydney in July (mid winter) and journeying up to The Blue Mountains (average temp of 2-6C) and I don't have a warm coat (only cardigans and daggy hoodies) so I gave in and purchased it yesterday.
I went onto the website today to show my sister what I ordered, to find that the size that I ordered (and all the other sizes, except 1) had sold out! WHAT LUCK!

I love the colour, it's my favourite colour at the moment (and has been for awhile). People thinks it's quite weird. It's nature and earthy... and it pretty much goes with everything... black, white and grey... and then heaps of super bright colours, like turquoise, and hot pink!

My autumn mood board is inspired by blue nebulas, the moon, abandoned overgrown buildings, tea leaves and dark wood floors.

The "Spring" Tag

Happy Easter everyone!

I've been tagged to do "The Spring Tag" by the awesome Kerry @ Kerry's Nerdy Habitat! I'm very excited, but going to mix it up a little... since I live in the Southern Hemisphere, Spring is still a couple months away (WINTER IS COMING) So I'm going to do the "Spring Autumn Tag" :)

1. What’s your favourite nail colour for Spring (Autumn)?
The thing I love most about Autumn is the ability to wear darker colours and not be cooked when the sun shines. I don't wear nail polish, but I know as the weather gets colder it's time to take better care of your nails. Using hand lotions, minimising how much nail polish remover you use (it drys your nails) and just keep up you nail care.
The colours I'm loving for Autumn/Winter are pretty much the colours I love all year around. Black, Grey, Silver, Olive, Dark Green & Teal.
2. Best drink for Spring (Autumn)?
I'm not a fan of hot drinks (I always always burn my tongue or mouth) but as it gets colder, I go looking for drinks a little bit more substantial than water. Warm Milo, or hot chocolate! YUM!
3. What goes on your lips in Spring (Autumn)?
Lip balm, lots of lip balm! I'm heading to Perth next weekend to go to Lush, to get myself some lip scrub. In the cold weather my lips get very very dry and start to peel, it's gross! So I need to stock up on some lip scrub and a chapstick :)

4. What’s your favourite thing about Spring (Autumn)?
The cold. I love the brisk, clear, cold evenings. I can finally get my scarves out, I can layer my clothes, wear jeans without people judging me (I wear jeans in Summer too) and just snuggle up in bed on cold nights!

5. Best perfume for Spring (Autumn)?
I'm still rocking Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh. It's my favourite (I bought 3 bottles when they were on special) It works all year around, but especially in autumn and winter, when you don't have to worry about covering the smell of sweaty yucks! (stupid summer)
6. What TV series are you watching the most at the moment?
Game of Thrones. Series 4 is being releases every Monday as we speak, I'm rewatching series 2 and 3... I'm very excited of things to come!
I'm also enjoying re-watching South Park, as politically incorrect and silly it is, I'm still loving it. It's bringing back memories of trying to secretly recording it, (because it was on past bedtime and dad didn't like me watching it)

7. Do you wear a different colour eye shadow in Spring (Autumn)?
Smokey eyes! Black, black and black! Rimmel and Nude are my favourite makeup brands. I don't wear much makeup but I recently discovered Scandal Eyes Eye Shadow Pencils. It's pretty much a thick eye liner pencil :D They come in dark colours, like matte black, sparkly black, forest green and dark blues, but also some really nice "frosty" colours, like icy blue and pink! I love them, it makes putting eye shadow on even easier!
I'm loving these 3 colours the most. I have the plain black and the green so far.

8. Do you change your hair for the changing season?
I recently had my hair cut very short. I love it, it's so easy. I'm not a morning person, and as the days get shorter it gets harder and harder to get out of bed for work. So my hair is usually not even brushed, just pushed back with a headband or a clip. Nice and simple :D

9. What kind of music do you listen do in Spring (Autumn)?
I started my Autumn playlist of Spotify, check it out! But my music choice doesn't change much between seasons. I don't listen to the radio, so I don't know what is popular etc. My music choices depend on what I hear when I'm on the net, what other bloggers post about etc.

10. What kind of fashion items/accessories do you opt for in Spring (Autumn)?
Scarves! Lots of scarves in all different colours. I usually wear black, so having a pop of colour from a scarf makes an outfit an outfit :D I love scarves, the quirkier the better!

May I present my Autumn Moodboard!! Inspired by flannel shirts, tea leaves, succulent gardens and moon shine!

Hope you enjoyed the post. Anyone is welcome to do this tag.

Are you looking forward to Spring/Autumn? Let me know what you are looking forward to most in the comments!

Fashion Inspiration - Animated Girls

A few other awesome bloggers have been doing fashion inspiration posts, so I decided to do some for myself. May I present some of my favourite animated girls!

Turanga Leela
Turanga Leela
Turanga Leela by princessgeek86

Leela... the coolest one-eyed purple haired space pilot, from one of my favourite tv series of all time, Futurama. (I realised today that The Nerdy Girlie did a Professor Farnsworth fashion set... (check it out... it's AWESOME!!) I just want to say that I'm not copying your idea, I hope you don't mind!! I planned this post in advance... Great minds think alike :D)

Pinkie Pie
Pinkie Pie

Pinkie Pie by princessgeek86

PINKIE PIE - My favourite Pony... well I love them all! I love Pinkie's attitude to life, always happy, always friendly... I think she would be an awesome person to hang out with... if she wasn't an animated magic pony! WATCH VID!

Now to some of the sassiest animated girls!

Debbie Thornberry
Debbie Thornberry

Debbie Thornberry by princessgeek86

Debbie Thornberry - I have ALWAYS loved The Wild Thornberries. I loved Eliza, because she could talk to animals and was Nerdy, but still awesome, I loved Nigel... because he's just awesome full stop (Tim Curry!!!) but I always had a soft spot for Debbie I guess it was because I was probably around her age when I started watching... she was sassy and moody, and a typical teenager!!

Daria
Daria

Probably my favourite and the one I can relate too most, Daria. She was in my life during my "Goth" phase... and is probably the reason for it. I say "Goth" but it wasn't the full on typical Goth (because I went to a private school with light blue and navy uniforms) it was the self dyed black hair, the black eyeliner (which I would always have to wash off at school because of the no-makeup rule) and honestly... I think it was just because that was the phase my friends were going through and I wanted to fit in. I could go on for DAYS about how much high school sucked, but I won't, all I will say if Daria helped me deal with it :)

~~~~
Hope you enjoyed this post. If you have any suggestions for my next lot of fashion sets, let me know in the comments.
I also received a lot of feedback on my Geek Shelves idea. It has involved into a Geek Space idea, but can still include your favourite geek shelf (I know mine does) I will let everyone know more details as it comes... but start thinking... start taking photos... I think it will just end up as a quick "Show us your Geek Space" prompt for you to do on your own blog! Let me know :)
Military Grey
Military Grey
Military Grey by princessgeek86 featuring round throw pillows
I ordered this dress from ASOS
I've been using Polyvore to come up with some ideas of what to wear with it!
First is "Military Grey" (above)
I'm in love with the colours and designs.
Olive green, camp, boots, patches!
It's my favourite style at the moment!
Lucky for me grey fits in quite well!
Goth Grey
Goth Grey by princessgeek86 featuring H&M
Next is "Goth Grey" (above)
I have A LOT of Black in my wardrobe.
When I was in highschool I went through the mild "goth" phase
I still have most of the good pieces I brought.
I love crosses, boots (again) and leather.
Neon Grey
Neon Grey by princessgeek86 featuring a bubble statement necklace
Lastly
"Neon Grey" (above)
I don't have any neon in my wardrobe.
But I love how well grey goes with it.
Makes the neon POP even more!
Hope you enjoyed my post.
I'm going to do a few more posts like this.
And stay tuned for February's OOTD post (coming soon I promise)
I have Backpack envy.
(I seriously know the name of it without looking it up)
It's Olive Green and has lots of storage space.
It's an Australian company and made in Australia
It has a LIFETIME Warranty...
but it's $195
I could buy a similar looking bag from China for a fraction of the price
But would it be as well made?
probably not!
Considering purchasing this bag as a Valentines Day gift to myself!
It's been 27 years and I've never received a Valentines gift.
{Forever Alone :D}
:)
UPDATE!
I ordered it :D
Can't wait for it to arrive!
:)
