Almost Spring

That movie, is freaking hilarious! I LOVE John Cusack. The film was funny, the 80s soundtrack was beyond EPIC. I need to buy this movie.

Well today was pretty epic. I got an email from my mum this morning asking, if I'd go into the bank and try and get a $5,000 loan so she could buy a car. Yep. Completely random, but I went in and filled in the paperwork, I seriously didn't think I earned enough.... but I do... I got the $5,000 loan. Mum is buying a 1991 Pajero, so we can go four wheel driving, which is quite exciting.

After the bank I walked down to the senior citizen centre and.... JOINED WEIGHT WATCHERS. Yep I finally did it. I've been thinking about it for ages, and after my little emotional breakdown yesterday I realised I need support to lose weight, and since I don't have any "fat" friends to lose weight with, I've joined. Everyone was nice. I was the only new person. I didn't talk much. The leader, Kaye, is really nice and enthusiastic, but she recognised my name and told me she was friends with my aunt.... the one from the family I no longer associate with =D so I wonder how that will go down. It doesn't bother me, because I've never done anything wrong by them.... it's going to be interesting. I'm looking forward to the next meeting, but need to lose some weight or I will have to give my paperclip back. If we lose weight we get a paperclip to add to our chain, if we put weight on, we have to give one back. I have one... the starting one, I don't want to give it back =D

After the meeting I went to work and rented Hot Tub Time Machine, and went home and watched it (with the cat, who decided want to settle on my knee... I'm not complaining, but everytime he'd stretch, he'd almost fall off my knee and use his claws to hold on..... OUCH) I had planned on going for a walk, but when the movie finished I went outside and it was raining. By the time the rain stopped, I couldn't be bothered.

Duromine, has been giving me nightmares. I'm not longer an insomniac, but I'm having nightmares about large waves and being stranded by water and tides, and it's not very nice. Everytime I close my eyes I see and hear the waves =( I haven't had a nightmare in many many years, so I think my body is trying to tell me it does not like this drug. But I do.... it's working. I'm no longer snacking, no longer craving foods. Now I just have to organise so I have nice healthy food to eat at home.

I know of Henry Rollins, but never realised he was such a powerful speaker. Ever since Gala Darling did a short post about him, I've been looking him up, watching YouTube videos. He's a very wise man.

I can't believe it's almost Spring 2010... So much for this year being my year.... it's kinda sucked so far, apart from the awesomeness, like meeting lots of awesome peeps, epic concerts, and travel experiences. Physically, it's sucked =D I know what I have to do.... it's just getting started.

Neil Gaiman (1960 - )

Neil Gaiman is my favourite author. I've only been a fan of his work for a couple of years after picking up a copy of American Gods. As well as fantasy novels he also made his name as the writer of the comic series Sandman, and also as the writer of the film Mirrormask. He's also just finished his script for the next series of Doctor Who. I can't wait to read it. Expect to hear more about Neil in the next couple of days when I get to "Favourite Fictional Book"
