30 Day Project (done in a week) 26-30

prompt list.
prompts 1-5.
prompts 6-10.
prompts 11-15.
prompts 16-20.
prompts 21-25.

26. Things you like and dislike about yourself.
I don't like my weight. But I like my personality. I think I'm a nice person and I hope that other people think so.

#####################

27. A quote you try to live by.
"Don't Panic" I wrote a post about my favourite quote a couple months ago.

"“Don’t Panic” from The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy. When I read it, it doesn’t just mean “Don’t Panic” it means, “sit back and think about it. Are you over reacting? (usually I am). Can it be fixed? (pretty much always) GET REAL!!!” I’m an over thinker, and a stress head, I’m also a little bit of a perfectionist (which according to my councillor is a sign of low self-esteem) telling myself “Don’t Panic” is sort of a kick up the arse. Someone screaming at me, telling me to chill out, stop over thinking and telling me that everything will be okay :) it’s good!"

#####################

28. Somewhere you would like to move or visit.
I want to go to New Zealand, Paris, Rome, Dubrovnik, London, Finland, Sweden... I want to go EVERYWHERE!

#####################

29. Five weird things you like.
Chocolate and Peanut Butter TOGETHER
Youtube Minecraft videos (especially The Yogscast and Captain Sparklez)
Minecraft :)
Fenrir Greyback
Cheese!

#####################

30. One thing you're excited for.
iPhone 5 for me next week!

30 Day Project (done in a week) 21-25

prompt list.
prompts 1-5.
prompts 6-10.
prompts 11-15.

21. How you hope your future will be like.
I try not to think too far into the future.
I want to move out, get a full time job I love, lose some weight and just be happy and healthy.
I hope my future will be like that.

#####################

22. Your academics.
Finished year 12, 9 years ago.
Studied heaps. Accounting, Business, IT, Multimedia, Art, Interior Design and now Childcare. I'm trying to find something I love.

#####################

23. Something that you miss.
School and not having responcibilities. Being an adult is hard :( I also miss living with my mum.

#####################

24. Five words/phrases that make you laugh.
"What a crazy random happenstance"

#####################

25. Something you're currently worrying about.
My Prac for childcare. I'm doing vacation care at the local PCYC. I had to use my annual leave at work so I could have 2 weeks off to work for FREE! I'm afraid that I won't be any good, and the kids won't like me :( Just general pessimistic brain chatter!

19 September 2012

30 Day Project (done in a week) 16-20

prompt list.
prompts 1-5.
prompts 6-10.
prompts 11-15.

16. Something you always think "what if..." about.
"what if" I wasn't overweight.
I think my personality would be different. I think being weight has benefited my personality.
Plus if I was skinny, I would probably spend all my money on clothes :D and probably wouldn't be a geek :D

#####################

17. Something you're proud of.
Watching my little sister Alex perform. She was in Jesus Christ Superstar this year and I'm so proud of her confidence (and a little jealous) :D

#####################

18. A problem that you have had.
This is a very vague question. I had a problem today at work with the merchandisers not cleaning up their mess, I have heaps of problems with dad's girlfriend, I sometime have problems with my family, and I always have problems with myself :D

#####################

19. Five items you lust after.

5 items you lust after.
1. Teal Hair - 2. Benedict Cumberbatch (he's an item, right?) - 3. iPhone 5 (soon to be true!) - 4. Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough Ice-cream (why can't I order it online!) - 5. Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots!

#####################

20. Your fears.
Irrational - Balloon!
Stupid - Being alone forever and running out of time to have children.

18 September 2012

prompts 6-10.

11. Your family.
Mum and Dad who are divorced.

Myself who is 25.

Dad's girlfriend Angela (who I don't overly like)

Both of Dad's parents are dead. (My Gran died in June this year :( )

It's hard choosing only 5 :(

Benedict Cumberbatch

Professor Brian Cox

Karl Urban

Kevin Durand

Tom Hiddleston

#####################

13. Your opinion about your body and how comfortable you are with it.
I hate my body, and I'm not comfortable with it. I'm in the process of changing it, but it's going to be hard :)

#####################

14. What you wore today.
Boring day. Just my work uniform :(

#####################

15. Your zodiac/horoscope and if you think it fits your personality.
Scorpio. I don't really believe in horoscopes, I can't believe that millions of people can have the "same day/week etc" also magazine to magazine the horoscopes are different etc.
Scorpius is my favourite constellation, and I plan on getting a tattoo of it one day, but not because I'm a Scorpio, just because I love stars and space and Scorpius is an AWESOME constellation!

17 September 2012

30 Day Project (done in a week) 6-10

the prompt list.
the first 5 prompts.

6. Your views on mainstream music.
I love music. sometimes the "mainstream music" (which I assume is the music you hear on the radio, or see the music videos for on MTV etc.) can be a little annoying. I'm not against it, but I still find myself having trouble finding CDs of my favourite bands at local stores (ie Kmart, Target or Sanity)
iTunes has made it really easy to get music. Before iTunes if you wanted to listen to your favourite band you had to order the CD in, or borrow it from someone. iTunes has made ALL music mainstream :D

I don't know how to classify my music tastes. A little bit of everything. You can have a look at the music I like and listen too here.

#####################

7. Five pet peeves.
ONE) Negative people. I know I admit that I can be negative sometimes, but people that NEVER have anything nice to say, need to shut up!
TWO) Inconsistency! Having this problem at work at the moment with the new organisation format. Some genre count "THE" as a word (ie The Help, The Descendants etc. are all under "T") while other genres don't. Also some genres run down the shelf, others across the shelf! DRIVES ME CRAZY!
THREE) People who drink alcohol to get drunk!
FOUR) People who bitch behind your back.
FIVE) Secret breakers. If I tell you something secret... DON'T REPEAT IT!

#####################

8. What you ate today.
Subway - 12 inch white, chicken fillets with pizza sauce and cheddar cheese, toasted with avocado, carrot, lettuce and onion.
Steak and roast vegetable salad :D

#####################

9. How important you think education is.
Very important. Stay in school! You don't have to go to University or study TEE, but you need to be able to read and write! Too many kids today don't know how to read. When I was in year one, if you couldn't write your name you were held back. They don't do that anymore because it looks bad on the school statistics! FUCK STATISTICS! The schools are failing the kids. They get to highschool and fall behind and then drop out and then become stupid bums!

#####################

10. Put your music player on shuffle and write the first ten songs played.
1. Rule The World - Take That
2. Being From Jersey Means Never Having To Say You're Sorry - Cobra Starship
3. Race The Dream - Kill Hannah
4. Helplessly Hoping - Taxiride
5. Things Can Only Get Better - D:Ream (Prof. Brian Cox's band :D)
<3
6. Sing For Absolution - Muse
7. High - James Blunt (so not embarrassed about this! I LOVE JAMES BLUNT!)
8. Travelling Theme - Daniel Yount (from The Yogscast - Shadow Of Israphel Soundtrack!)
9. God's Plan - John Frizzell (Legion Soundtrack)
10. Soaked - Adam Lambert (this song was written by Matt Bellamy of Muse)

16 September 2012

30 Day Project (done in a week) 1-5

Starting post is here. Prompts start now :P

1. Five ways to win your heart.
ONE) be hilarious! if you can make me laugh you've got me. This applies to men and women. But a man that can make me laugh uncontrollably always has a place in my heart. This includes: Sacrastic Humour, funny voices, funny faces, English humour etc. As long as the humour isn't at my expense and I'm not going to feel embarrassed to be around you :D
TWO) have an accent! favourite accents include: English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Finnish, German, New Zealander, Spainish and Italian.
THREE) be smart. I'm not talking SUPERDUPER smart! Just be able to have a conversation with me about random shit, like space, physics, doctor who, star trek... :D you see where this is going.
FOUR) smell good! pretty self-explainitary :D
FIVE) be yourself. or if all else fails... be Karl Urban :D

#####################

2. Something you feel strongly about.
Mental illness, in particular, Depression and Anxiety and the way people seem to think that it doesn't exist! I HATE PEOPLE who push it aside like it's nothing! It isn't nothing! If people in their family are suffering from depression, they don't need YOU telling them that they're being stupid and it will pass! THEY NEED SUPPORT! GAH!!!
And from what I've heard the people that tell people with depression to "get over it!" usually are suffering from some form of depression or anxiety themselves!

#####################

3. A book you love.
My copy of this book looks almost exactly like this. I've read it so many times! It's so funny and witty and amazing. Douglas Adams was a genius!

#####################

4. Bullet your whole day.
#####################

5. Things you want to say to an ex.
Don't have one :D

#####################

Stay tuned for prompt 6-10 tomorrow :D Now, I'm going to do something a little bit more pro-active :D

30 Day Project version 129,304

Yeah I know! I always start and never finish! It's just me. I start things and don't finish them. It happens in all aspects of my life :D I stole this list from my sister Alex (read her blog here) It seems like an easy list of prompts :D Instead of doing one a day, I will do 5 a day, that way I will get through the list in a week, which means I'm less likely to procrastinate about them and not do them.

Day 10 - Discuss your first love and first kiss

=( Forever ALONE.

How can I discuss something that hasn't happened yet, it's quite depressing. When Hazel asked me if I'd ever been in a serious relationship I cried (I admit I was already having a bad day)

One Day. Ask me this question again in 10 years, if it hasn't happened by then... there is something seriously wrong with me.

Day 09 - How you hope your future will be like

All I can truly hope for is happiness. I'm really living my life day to day at the moment, I don't know what my immediate future will hold, and it's a little scary.

There is a house that I want to buy. Ever since I saw it I wanted it, but it's never been for sale, one day I will buy it, when I win lotto I will go to the owners and say "here's $500,000 now sell me your house" I don't even know how many rooms it has, or how big it is, I just know I want it.

Sorry about this post being a little vague. I'm just not in the mood for the future at the moment.

Day 08 - A Moment You Felt The Most Satisfied with You Life.

Karl Urban

Enough Said.

I don't think anyone will ever understand how epically satisfied I felt during and after this photo was taken. That's KARL FUCKING URBAN, and any regular reader would know (and be completely over how much I go on about him) that he is my favouritest actor of all time, no contest. And coming from someone that has trouble making decisions thats a pretty big thing.

Day 07 - Your Zodiac Sign and If It Fits Your Personality

I'm Scorpio, born in the Year of The Tiger. I don't really follow any horoscopes, but it does interest me. I know that Scorpios can be rather intense, possessive and emotional. (but that was just me reading what it says on WikiZodiac (and we all know how "reliable" anything "wiki" is)) But what I read, it pretty much fits my personality, but anyone can read anything into anything they want.

I do know that my first tattoo will be of the constellation Scorpius, obviously because I'm a Scorpio, but also because I love astronomy and Scorpius is pretty much my favourite constellation.
not mine - but the general idea
Speaking of Space, does anyone know what NASA are going to announce at a press conference on Dec 2? I found this article, and there is a line that intrigues me greatly.

"WASHINGTON -- NASA will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 2, to discuss an astrobiology finding that will impact the search for evidence of extraterrestrial life. Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution and future of life in the universe. "

OMFG... they have found something biological in space! I'm excited, but also a little scared. Even if it's just bacteria on Mars, that's still freaking exciting. *nerdgasm*

Day 06 - Write 30 Interesting Facts About Yourself PART ONE

Most readers will know most of these already. I will try and think of some new and exciting interesting facts.

1. I'm afraid of Balloons - I got that one out first, so you can have a giggle at my expense and move on. But you'd be surprised how many people are actually afraid of balloons.
"Balloons explode, Jen. They explode suddenly, and unexpectedly. They are filled with the capacity to give me a little fright, and I find that unbearable." - Roy "The IT Crowd" episode 4.5 (Bad Boys)

2. I have many (and I mean MANY) favourite Actors, but no favourite Actresses - Number one on the list is obviously Karl Urban (and pretty much everyone who meets me, will know that fact within an hour of meeting me. I'm pretty sure my 18 month old cousin knows too). Other faves include, Ewan MacGregor, Kevin Durand, Tim Roth, Sharlto Copley, Adrien Brody, Jared Leto.... the list goes one.

3. I LOVE MOVIES - love is an understatement. If the world was perfect (which it isn't) I would be in America working with Steven Speilberg, or Quentin Tarantino or Tim Burton. I don't care what I would be doing... I'd be happy spending my days getting them coffee. Maybe one day.

4. I'm a cat person - I love cats. I've never ever been without a cat in my life. I dislike dogs. I can deal with dogs, but I would never own one... it only took me 20 years to realise that I didn't really want that puppy I bugged my parents for most my life.

5. Pirates are better than Ninjas - not explanation needed. Also cowboys are awesome too. Cowboys > Ninjas, Pirates > Cowboys.

6. As of 20th December 2010, I would of seen ALL 6 of my top 6 bands. - 1. Muse - the last band to see. 2. HIM - seen twice. 3. Billy Talent 4. AFI 5. The Used 6. 30 Seconds To Mars - Jared Leto is so sexy.

7. I have hugged my favourite Actor - Yep that's right I have hugged Karl Urban and I have photographic proof.

8. I'm addicted to the internet. I have a blogger, tumblr, twitter, facebook, polyvore, livejournal, flickr, i heart it, youtube, and myspace account. Some are used daily... others *ahem* myspace *ahem* haven't been accessed in years.

9. My first blogger post was January 1st 2008. But I have been blogging for a lot longer. I used to use MSN Spaces, but that blog no longer exists. I do have all the posts saved somewhere. But they're not very exciting posts.

10. I love to study. I've completed my Advanced Diploma in Accounting, my Cert 4 in Business and my Cert 4 in Information Technology. I'm about to start my Diploma in Interior Design. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life.

11. I seem to get along best with people that others can't get along with. I know it's weird, but most of my friends are people that other people can't stand. I've never had any problems with any of them.

12. I hate bullies, bad drivers and cigarette smoke. I assume most people do too.

13. I never wagged school. Mostly because my school was too far from anything interesting. But I don't think I would of anyway. I loved school.

14. I collect paint samples. I have a whole box of them. Finally I will have a use for them.

15. I love stationery. I have boxes of pens and pencils, a whole shelf of empty notebooks, boxes of pretties (stamps, stickers, tape, glue etc) it's an addiction. I think I need to go to Stationery Rehab.

That's the end of part one. Part 2 to come tomorrow. It's quite hard to find 30 interesting facts about myself. I will think of some overnight and get back to you.

Day 05 - A Time You Thought About Ending Your Own Life.

This, fellow bloggers and readers, is what I call a "no comment" subject.

Day 04 - Your Views on Religion

Coming from a non-practicing, but proud Roman Catholic, with an epically Roman Catholic grandmother... honestly, I love it. I love the "mythology" surrounding Catholicism, I've always loved the stories from the bible, but I see them more as stories than truths. I like the ideals that religion holds... all religions, Karma, the importance of family, the ten commandments. But as for the idea that some single being created all life on earth, that's a little bit far fetched (don't you think?) They have pretty much proved Evolution, HUMANS have created something from nothing.

I hate that wars are fought under the guise of religion. I hate people discriminating against others because of their religions. I find other religions really interesting, I pride my self (oh no... isn't pride a deadly sin!?) on learning new things, I never ever want to stop learning. I hate ignorant people, just because something is different, it's not worth their effort to learn more about it. I admit some of my opinions are based on things I don't know very much about, and I am sometimes quick to judge, but I am human.

As for faith. I have faith, I sometimes pray to god. I know he's there (and yes to me he is this old man with a long white beard.... kinda like Gandalf from Lord of the Rings), he's there, I don't know where, I don't know why, but it's nice to know that there is someone/thing there. I also believe in angels. I believe children's imaginary friends are angels. As children you need someone to be right next to you, to help you learn, but as you get older the angels slowly move into the background, so you can live your own life, but they are there, watching, ready to step in when you really need them, but no one, really needs their angels, that's why we don't see them very much. Angels' freaking rule. Who wouldn't want wings?!

Day 03 - Your Views on Drugs and Alcohol

Disclaimer: These are my opinions. I don't mean to offend anyone, but these are my opinions, and there is nothing I can really do about that.

Drugs...
I think people that do illegal drugs are stupid and deserve everything they get while under the influence. You take Meth and drive your car and crash into a tree because you thought it was a fluffy bunny... good riddance. I know this sounds a bit harsh, but it's my opinion. Drugs are illegal for a reason. I've never ever done any illegal drugs, and I never will. I'm never smoked, and I hardly drink alcohol. I do on the other hand, drink A LOT of caffeine, hell, I'm drinking it now... good ol' Pepsi Max. I also take prescription drugs, and over the counter pain killers, not to excess (by far, if I can avoid taking pain killers I will)

Alcohol...
I don't drink much. I had a few drinks on my birthday, and the days after, but I'm not a fan. I don't like the feeling of getting up the next morning and feeling like you're head has been run over by a truck full of elephants. I don't see the appeal of going out (into public) getting pissed and making a fool of myself. People who drive under the influence are stupid, people who drive under the influence with children in the car should have their children taken from them. I think the blood alcohol limit for driving should be zero and I think that anyone caught drink driving should have their license taken off them and their car taken to the crushers.

Day 02 - Where You'd Like To Be In 10 Years.

Half my current weight. That would put me in the high range of my "ideal" weight according to my height.

In a place of my own (either renting and owning) I would prefer to own, but I don't think that will happen. My mum's accountant told her that the only way that the bank will give anyone a mortgage these days is if they're double income... ie in a relationship. What if I don't want to own a house with anyone. I want a house all to myself.

A successful Interior Designer/Decorater, or Art Director on films and tv. Making lots of money, so I can afford my own place (see above)

In, or have been in, a serious relationship. I'm not too sure about marriage at the moment, but I would still like to be married, and I would like to at least be seriously thinking about children (or have some already) I'm thinking 2 or 3, I'm hoping for girls, but I know that might not be possible, I've always wanted girls.

The idea of being 34 and having done nothing with my life scares me. People say 10 years is a long way away, but considering I left school 7 years ago, 10 years doesn't seem like that far way.
