Supanova

I had decided that I wasn't going to go to Supanova Expo in Perth this year.
I was adament, even when they annoucned that Karl Urban would be going again.
But I need to save for PAX.
I can't afford it.

Then I got an invite to increase my credit card limit!
Which I know I should of ignored, but didn't.

THEN
Supanova Expo announced that there was 3 Dwarves from The Hobbit going!
Jed Brophy aka Nori, Adam Brown aka Ori & Aiden Turner aka Killi
How could I not go.

But accomodation in Perth is so expensive.
:(
But Alex asked her friend Kat if we could stay with her
and she said YES!
We invited her to Supanova (another Supanova Virgin!)
So as payment for letting us stay I bought her ticket!

I'm so excited.
I've got a Dredd movie poster from work that I'm going to get Karl Urban to sign!
I will probably just buy photos of the Dwarves, to get them to sign.

I don't know if I want photos or not.
Maybe with Karl Urban again.
But I don't know if I'm too fussed about the Dwarves.
Maybe Adam Brown, because Ori is my favourite Dwarf

There are heaps of other people going
but I don't want to get too excited because then it will cost lots of money!

Supanova Recap Of Awesome!

SUPANOVA WAS AWESOME!
It's always awesome! But this one was really awesome! I met some wonderful people, got some autographs from amazing people and got to hang out with Emma.

The best thing that happened all weekend was when (as we were leaving) there was a random guy playing football in the carpark... but that random guy ended up being ALFIE ALLEN! Theon Greyjoy from Game Of Thrones!!! And then this happened....
... me with Alfie Allen! Before I heard him during his seminar, I assumed that he might be a little bit of a tosser :P but he isn't! He's so nice and polite and funny and quite shy. I guess he's still not used to being famous. I LOVE ALFIE!

I also had a conversation with Australian Author Matthew Reilly about Harry Potter and Alexander McQueen. He liked the evietees tee I was wearing. He knew who the characters were (GO MATTHEW) and then I realised he was wearing an awesome Alexander McQueen tee. He then told me he knew nothing about fashion and didn't really knew who Alexander McQueen was until after he bought the shirt!
I also saw Vic Mignogna again. He's my favourite voice actor. He does the voices of many Anime characters, including Ed in Fullmetal Alchemist and Zero in Vampire Knights and Dark in DN Angel. My sister Kaitlin made a Dark plushie for him to sign. He was so excited about it.
Supanova was awesome! I also managed not to spend much money. I bought The Art of The Avenger book and a few smaller items. I spent most of my Supanova money buying Lord Of The Rings Lego at Target :) LORD OF THE RINGS LEGO! I just can't get over the fact I have Karl Urban in Lego form NOW!

Emma and I are planning a Supanova post on The Curiosity Complex, so stay tuned for that! Now back to my real boring life! :P

SUPANOVA!

I bought my Supanova ticket tonight!
YAY YAY YAY YAY!

people I'm going to stalk...

I promise, in the future, I will try to continue the 365 Day Project... or I'll just give up :)

Day 10 - "Be Yourself"

"what you think when you hear the words “be yourself”"

I do try to be myself. I really do, but people just don't get me. They roll their eyes and I know they're judging me :) In the past I would of cared, but I'm getting better at not caring what others think.

Myself.
Loud, Sarcastic, Passive Agressive, Friendly, Crazy, Emotional, Geeky, Scientific, Perfectionist, Lazy, Childish, Mature, Fun.

What I am online, is the real me. Me in real life is a censored, toned down version of real me. It's called "Small Town Syndrome", which sucks because I actually live in a city.

I wish I was able to be more myself. This is my current struggle I'm having with myself at the moment. I'm hoping that this 365 Project will help.

In other news. Supanova is really soon! Next Month, and I got the time off work (despite the scary chance that I wasn't going to!) I really can't wait. The people going at the moment aren't that exciting, well it's still exciting, but not exciting enough to pay for autograph and photos. Supanova tweeted me today and told me tickets were on sale at the end of May, and they will be announcing some more guests. I can't wait!

Supanova Was FUCKING Awesome!

Favourite Cospays: Darth Vader & The Stormtroopers (next year I will work up the guts to have a photo with them. All the Doctors wearing Fezs' (is that how you write it???) The girl in front of us in the line dressed as Big Daddy from Bioshock. Wally (I found him! he was sitting in front of me during the Sean Maher seminar)

Favourite Moments: Tom Felton walking past while we were standing inline for photos with him and saying "morning ladies" (we fangirled all over the place), Seeing Gareth David-Lloyd standing on the balcony watching all the happenings below. Amy Acker waving at me from the balcony. Meeting Tom Felton (photo & autograph) and him telling me the story of his ex-girlfriend Melissa, and how he used to spell her name wrong, and will now never forget how to spell it. Meeting James Marsters and him being more awesome then I can even imagine. Meeting GDL. PHOTOS WITH TOM FELTON & JAMES MARSTERS, Autographs from Tom, James, GDL and author Alison Goodman.

Purchases: 2 tin robots, 7 Futurama Blind Boxes (only ended up with 2 doubles), 10th Doctor artwork by Stewart McKenny (StewART) (signed by him), plushie Orc & Werewolf, Spike action figure. I also have so many business cards in the bottom of my bag it's not funny. 3 Autographs & 2 Photos (On my own with James Marsters, with Kaitlin with Tom Felton)

Favourite Thing From a Seminar: James Marsters' telling us that he bit John Barrowman during "that" scene in Kiss, Kiss, Bang Bang (Torchwood), and that JMs' wife "directed" the kiss, so they had to do lots of takes... (I think James Marsters married a girl just like us) James Marsters' doing Shakespere. GDLs' aussie accent and him saying how awful it is to kiss John Barrowman. Sean Maher talking about wedgies during his time dressed in Lycra for Warehouse 13. So much more. I recorded audio of James Marsters' seminar, so I'll have to replay it.

Dissapointments: Missing out on Tom Felton seminar because the line was full :( Gareth David-Lloyds' lack of full on Welsh Accent :( Not taking more photos or cosplay/celebs/random crap, not having a good camera to take said photos.

Unexpected Surprises: The stupid weather on Friday night. It was crazy and super stressful. Going to Supanova on Friday Night is the best idea ever. We didn't have to line up to get inside, and we stood in line for about 30 minutes for tickets from photos and autographs. Then on Saturday, we had all the photos and autographs done and finished with 2 hours, so we were free to look at all the stalls. Also loved how much more organised Supanova are this year. All the lines marked out, having specific times for photos etc. WELL DONE SUPANOVA!!!

I Got My Haircut

It's really really really short. I'm not sure if I like it yet. I will have to dye it, because the ends are red and the roots are brown, and half of my hair is red, and half isn't. Might do that tonight.

Sad news :( Ryan Dunn was killed in a car accident. Most of my readers won't know, or care, but Ryan Dunn was a member of Jackass and CKY. He was my favourite. It's really sad :(

Also I found this image with I love, and it makes me feel a little better.
And of course a post wouldn't be complete without a photo of a hot man... and even better, a gif!!!
okay, so that hot man has slightly creepy... what am I saying? Nightmare inducing facial expressions, but we love him.... how about some boys love? :)
These two are the best bromance ever! NO CONTEST!!

I have some epic posts planned. Posts that aren't posted willy nilly, ones that actually need planning and organisation. I bet you're all excited. They probably won't be posted until next week. I'm off to Supanova this weekend to fangirl over James Marsters and Tom Felton etc. I will try to post heaps of pics over the weekend, and be on Twitter as much as I can.

Bye-ee

Perth Supanova

Ianto and Spike will be in Perth for Supanova in June (I was already expecting this) But I'm super excited about Cary Elwes being there too. Westley from The Princess Bride. I'm so excited.
Westley is still my favourite boys name, and I DO plan on naming my son that, if I have any sons... hopefully... one day.
I hope he doesn't get sick. OMG Luke Perry is going too... I might ask him how he managed to get his name in the beginning credits of The Fifth Element, when he's only in the movie for like 5 minutes. Also Simon from Firefly... as well as Ianto and Spike... it's going to be very busy and expensive... may have to go both days... and this is only the first announcement. It still doesn't make up for the fact that Melbourne get SIMON PEGG and NICK FROST.
Dear Supanova. We want Simon Pegg and Nick Frost... or David Tennant, or just someone awesome. Ta.

SIMON PEGG @ SUPANOVA!

i wasn't going to blog today, because all i want to do is rant, and I'm sure you're all over it.
see those guys? They're going to be at SUPANOVA.... in MELBOURNE! I'm so pissed. I so want to see them, last year, when my little sister asked who I really want to go to Supanova, but they most likely wouldn't, who I would choose.... SIMON PEGG AND NICK FROST! well they are going to SUPANOVA, but Melbourne only. I pray to the SUPANOVA gods, that they can manage to get them to Perth. As for Perth, there hasn't been any official announcment of line-up yet, but there are rumours of James Marsters (Spike from Buffy) and Ianto Jones (sorry I can never remember the order his name goes it.... Gareth David Lloyd???) Here's hoping.

Molly Is...

...sick (obviously), very bored (very obvious) and just plain BLAH. I have, however, signed up for the 365 Postcards project. Some random is going to send me a postcard, some day this year. I don't know what it will look like or what she will say, but I can't wait. There are still a few spaces left if you want to join in. Check out the site, 365postcards, for more details.

In some slightly more exciting news. 2 (of the 4) volumes of the comic book collections on Runaways arrived today. vol 8 - Dead End Kids by Joss Whedon (yep that Joss Whedon), Michael Ryan and Christina Strain, and vol 11 - Homeschooling by Kathryn Immonen (who will be appearing at Supanova this year) and Sara Pichelli. Vol 1 & 2 are on there way. I bet now you're wondering why I bought vol 1, 2, 8 & 11. Well 1 & 2 is obvious, vol 8 I bought because it's going out of stock soon and it's by Joss Whedon, and vol 11 I bought so I could take it to Supanova to get Kathryn to sign.

Runaways

Sorry about the crap quality of the photo. I turned on my camera to discover the battery is dead, so I used my iPhone (which has no FLASH!) I can't read these ones yet. I've only read the first 2 comics (volume 1 contains the first 6) so I'm not very far into the story. If I'd known it was going to be this long I probably wouldn't of got hooked, but too late now. Anyway enough rambling. I'm off to bed. I was very lucky and managed to get Toni to do my shift for me tomorrow night, which means I don't have to work until Sunday morning. Hopefully... not not hopefully... I WILL be better by then.

Supanova Loses A Day

(big thanks to Supanova for the wicked awesome Title)

The article does say they are looking for a suitable replacement from the Whedonverse. My suggestions. Neil Patrick Harris, James Marsters, Nathan Fillion.... PLEASE!!!!!!! I'll be good forever... and James did Brisbane and Melbourne, why can't he do Perth and Sydney too? But I would prefer Neil Patrick Harris.... I'd make him say "Steve" (from Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs)

Felicia's replacement better be good.

EDIT: or Adam Baldwin (Jayne from Firefly) just any sexy man that starred in any Whedonverse EPIC.

Recap

sorry about the complete and utter lack of blogging. if it's any consolation I haven't been posting on my livejournal blog either. mostly just reblog on Tumblr and an occasional Tweet.

My time has been spent, mostly writing (in a real notebook with a real pen) and watching movies. As well as collecting hundreds.... or maybe even thousands of photos of Mr. Eli Roth. Yep that's right, still obsessed.... which has let on to another obsession.... Quentin Tarantino movies. I watched Death Proof for the first time a couple nights ago, and it was freaking AWESOME. I don't know how the man can be just so damn awesome. And the women he cast, not stick skinny, they are real women, with slighty flabby butts and tummys, and there legs jiggle (if only a little) but still. Quentin's women are REAL!
I also managed to get my hands on a copy of the Inglourious Basterds screenplay (wasn't that hard, because Quentin publishes all his screenplays) and it's awesome because there are scenes in the screenplay that aren't in the movie. So now I have to find some time to watch the Blu-Ray version and see if those scenes where actually made.

What else? oh. Screamworks: Love In Theory and Practice. FREAKING AWESOME! HIM have really outdone themself this time. and in less than 2 weeks time I will be in Perth watching them LIVE (again, already seen them once in 2008) But I can't freaking wait! I'm also excited about being in Perth. There are a couple of things I need that are just too hard to get down here.... like perfume @ MYERS! yay! hoping to get a bottle of Vera Wang Glam Princess to go with the other 2 I have (Vera Wang Princess and Rock Princess) I buy perfume for the pretty bottles and then the smell. =D I might buy some men's cologne too... for myself, because I love the smell. What's the one with Ewan Macgregor???? That one is awesome! I want it. I imagine that's what Ewan smells like... anyway enough fangirling =D

IN JUNE my best friend and I are going on a super geeky awesome trip! first SUPANOVA in Perth, than we fly to Melbourne for a week for the Tim Burton exhibition and just to explore. I've been to Melbourne once and loved it so much I can't wait to get back. my friend Tahlia has never been, so it's going to be awesome to have her there. I need to lose some weight before we go. after Soundwave I'm going to knuckle down and do it. Because Soundwave was the reason I was motivated last year.

Anyway, how was that for a recap? I know i'm awesome.

and i'll leave you with one sentence that reduced me to tears last night.
"I'm not as Random as you think I salad"

Why Can't I Live in Melbourne? =(

So if you haven't heard. They have announced some of the guests for the Brisbane and Melbourne SUPANOVE (convention) for 2010.

James Marsters (aka Spike from Buffy)
Karl Urban (Bones from Star Trek) &;
Gareth David-Lloyd (aka IANTO from Torchwood)

freaking IANTO.... and this is for the Brisbane and Melbourne Supanovas because they have them eariler in the year, then have Sydney and Perth in June. I'm going to miss out seeing James and Gareth, because my parents decided to live in WA! DAMN *super doopa sad face*

I'm okay with not seeing Karl Urban, because well, I already have.

I'm praying that they come back for Perth. But I'm not holding my breath, because last years Bris/Mel guests where completely different to Per/Syd guests. All I can hope is David Tennant decides to come to Perth, or even John Barrowman.... a girl can dream....

Things I Love Thursday

Transformers Revenge of the Fallen OpeningImage by Current News Stories via Flickr

SUPANOVA - Karl Urban, Dave Gibbons, Jacobs Dad (from Twilight), Viktor Krum.... too many anime voice actors to remember, crazy fans who dress like their fave anime characters... BLISS!

Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen - OMG It's finally out, and I'm going tonight (I already have the tickets!!!) did you know that Hugo Weaving did the voice of Megatron?? I didn't... well I do now!

thats pretty much it. I'm so excited about Supanova that I can't think of anything else. =D

I'm trying to set up my phone so I can post Tweets while I'm at Supanova. =D And hopefully I'll be able to post some pics too.

Nickelback & Supanova

Brandon KroegerBrandon Kroeger via last.fm

Currently listening to Nickelback. A little birdy (much like the ones at the top of the page) told me that Nickelback might be coming to Australia soon. If so, I'm so there. I've never been the biggest fan of Nickelback, but one of my favouritest songs in the Universe is "If Everybody Cared"

I'm very excited about Supanova. The little fanatic geek in me is freaking out. About seeing Karl Urban, and Dave Gibbons (illustrator of Watchmen) and seeing Viktor Krum, and even Jake Llyod (from Star Wars Episode 1) My little sister is excited about the anime voice actors. And we both can't wait to walk around and check out all the cosplayers and stalls. I wish I knew about it earlier, so I could of saved up some serious spending money instead of relying on one paycheck =D But now I can start planning for next year. I might go to Melbourne one or the Sydney one next year.

One of my LJ friends might be getting a job at the Smithisonian in Washington DC. How awesome is that? what a cool job that would be =D

SUPANOVA

I'm off to Supanova in 2 weeks. It's an Anime/TV/Film/Sci Fi convention. and guess who is going to be there!

KARL URBAN!!!

OMG OMG OMG! I'm so excited. and it's a very sudden decision. I decided yesterday that I was going to go. It involves a 4 hour drive to Perth, than accomodation for 3 nights (because I want to go both days of Supanova) and then train tickets to the even... then food, then money for merch and autographs (apparently it's $30 for an autograph from Karl) and then 4 hours home again.

I think I found some check accomodation. The only problem is shared bathrooms! So $50 a night with a shared bathroom right in the city, along public transport lines, or $88 for a room with a bathroom, but in the suburbs, On the highway, a short drive from the train station (and I know how to get there) Hmmm!

HAHA YAY!
