Anime

Feeling better. Still hate the government.
My little sister is excited because anime voice actors are going to be at Supanova.
Vic Mignogna, Travis Willingham and Laura Bailey... buggered if I know who they are, but my little sister is excited. All I know is, all 3 do voices in Fullmetal Alchemist.

I'm not a big anime watcher. I watch a few. Like Get Backers, Death Note and Trinity Blood. But not much more than that. My little sister on the other hand is obsessed.
I've met Christopher Sabat, he does a few voices in Dragonball, but that's it. He was really funny.

Dinner time.

Anime Picspam

I'm sure if I was still at highschool I would have more interesting things to write about.

I could talk about work, but this blog is linked to my facebook and I'm friends with people I work with.

I could picspam my blog with random images.

that might work.... Anime picspam...

Akabane from Get Backers

 Characters from Kyo Kara Maoh

I'm a fussy anime watcher. I like some and hate others but I'm not going to judge you because you like something I don't. My favourite anime is called Get Backers, it was really the first anime (other than Sailor Moon) that I watched. I also have the Manga for Get Backers... so far I have 27.
I also like Kyo Kara Maoh, Trinity Blood, Death Note, Wallflower and Ouran High School Host Club. I own DN Angle but haven't seen it all, and I have Scrapped Princess but haven't watched it (I probably should) I love anything and everything by Studio Ghibli. And last but not least Final Fantasy Advent Children and Dirge Of Cerebeus featuring the one, the only Vincent Valentine.

But like I think I've already mentioned (a couple of times) Get Backers is my favourite. I really think, that if you haven't seen it you should. Here is a pic of most of the male characters.

Like I said ALL male.
L-R. Kazuki, Akabane (back) Ban, Ginji and Shido

I'll leave you to contenplate.... I have to get ready for work (I always seem to be working, WAH!)

Get Backers

GET BACKERS
only the best and awesomest anime EVER!

Dragonball Evolution

I can't get over the fact that the green dude (above) is JAMES MARSTERS. As in Spike from Buffy The Vampire Slayer. And you know what. He was the only good thing in that whole movie. I've never seen any of the Dragonball anime or read any of the Manga. I have, in fact, met Chris Sabat (who does some of the voices in the English version of the Anime (including the green dude ie Piccolo)) and he was awesome, but everytime I stand in the Anime section at work and see how many bloody Dragonball discs there actually are, I walk away (and I have been told that we only have 1/3 of all the Dragonball anime)
So I thought I'd watch the movie. It was okay, not excellent, not STAR TREK awesome (nothing for a long time will top Star Trek in my mind) but it was fun. And I loved James Marsters as Piccolo. But really.... that was about it. The bit at the end when Goku was wearing baggy pants was hilarious.... because baggy pants are so currently in fashion =D Emmy Rossum annoyed the hell out of me, to be honest the only movie I've seen that she hasn't annoyed me overly was The Day After Tomorrow, (and The Phantom Of The Opera... but come on.... GERARD BUTLER singing)
But really thats enough of me going on and on and not making any sense. BLAH BLAH BLAH, BITCH BITCH BITCH. I shall stop now and go take photos. bye-ee

500.

Karl Urban at the premiere of Peter Jackson's ...Karl Urban via Wikipedia

I only realized just now that this is the 500th post to this blog. =O that's pretty awesome. do you know what else is pretty awesome.... this time next week I will be in Perth and would of met Karl Urban (or at least seen him in person) and I would of met Rachie. Which I'm actually really excited about doing.

So, Micheal Jackson died. It's pretty sad. He made some awesome music and even though he been the biggest weirdo in the universe, I think it's a great loss to everyone. But on the other hand, now that he's dead, maybe we'll finally be able to get some new compilation CDs by The Beatles and maybe be able to purchase Beatles songs from itunes (for all those that don't know. Micheal Jackson owned all The Beatles songs). Anyway RIP Michael.

I got my "Wreck This Journal" out today (the old one, not the new one) and I went to town on it. I threw it around, I scribbled in it, and then my sister threw it in a bucket of water. HAHA and it's awesome. It's wet, and all the colours have ran, but it looks freaking sweet. It's wet, ripped, squashed and smells like Vera Wang Princess. My hands are covered in coloured marker. I had so much fun. Now it's sitting next to me, un able to close, looking sorry for itself =D

I'm suppose to be going out with my friend Tahlia and her friends tonight. But I don't feel like it. It's cold and rainy and yuck. She also wants me to sleep over so we can watch anime (yes my friend is an anime nerd) but I just don't feel like it. I might message her and say sorry and organise to see her after Supanova. I might even bribe her with gifts =D, don't know what to do, but I'll figure it out =D

Anyway, that's it for the 500th post. WOO!

Nickelback & Supanova

Brandon KroegerBrandon Kroeger via last.fm

Currently listening to Nickelback. A little birdy (much like the ones at the top of the page) told me that Nickelback might be coming to Australia soon. If so, I'm so there. I've never been the biggest fan of Nickelback, but one of my favouritest songs in the Universe is "If Everybody Cared"

I'm very excited about Supanova. The little fanatic geek in me is freaking out. About seeing Karl Urban, and Dave Gibbons (illustrator of Watchmen) and seeing Viktor Krum, and even Jake Llyod (from Star Wars Episode 1) My little sister is excited about the anime voice actors. And we both can't wait to walk around and check out all the cosplayers and stalls. I wish I knew about it earlier, so I could of saved up some serious spending money instead of relying on one paycheck =D But now I can start planning for next year. I might go to Melbourne one or the Sydney one next year.

One of my LJ friends might be getting a job at the Smithisonian in Washington DC. How awesome is that? what a cool job that would be =D
