The 365 Photo Project

tomorrow I'm going to start taking photos and posting one a day for 365 days. I've started this task so many times but never made it. So I'm going to give it another try. I will post the images here, and on Flickr. I will also write a little paragraph to go with the image. I was going to start it today, but since tomorrow is the 1st of December, it seemed like a good time to start. I should wait until 1st January, but thats too far away =D

I'm going to take the photos with either my iPhone, my little Canon camera or my Canon DSLR.

So check back tomorrow (or follow me =D) to see what the first photo will be.

It's Sunday.

Tomorrow I start my new year. 1 month early =D

Starting with eating well and exercising EVERYDAY!

I used to walk Everyday before Winter, then winter came. And anyone that knows Albany, knows that it rains 99.99% of the time.

But I have a gym membership now, so I can't use the rain as an excuse anymore.

Work is having a Christmas party this year.

I'm so excited. I've been there for almost 2 years, but apparently there hasn't been a Christmas party for almost 5 years.

Claire and I organised a Secret Santa for work. Should be fun.

I've decided to study Design Fundementals next year. I want to do Interior Decoration. I don't know how long it will last, because this time last year I wanted to do Art Adminstration. So we'll see.

Maybe I should just get a full time job and be done with it.

I don't want to be working somewhere I don't want to be.

I just haven't decided exactly what I want to do when I grow up =D

Certificate III in Visual Arts and Contemporary Craft - 12 month course, includes Painting, Printmaking and Ceramics

or

Certificate III in Design Fundamentals - 6 month course, includes Printmaking, Video Art, Fashion Design, and more computer designing

for me to study next year.

I'm currently looking into Interior Design, but you need a portfolio to get into the class, and I don't have one. But if I do one of these classes I would have some things to put in my Portfolio. Some of the units in the classes are the same. I don't know if I want to go back to work on computers or not. But the Design class is more what I want to do. The course information actually mentions Interior Design. But I had so much fun in my Skill-Life drawing class and really want to expand my artistic skills. hmmm....

Mainly Xmas List

I don't know what I want for Christmas.

Usually, if I want something I go out and get it myself.

I wouldn't mind some more Moleskine journals. Even though I have 4, and they are all empty. I just don't know what to put in them.

Maybe the new 30 Seconds To Mars album, and the first Billy Talent album (I have the songs on my computer but don't own the CD, but I would like too)

Money is always a good gift for me. And I like getting little dodads and whatnots, little trinkets, and action figures. Also this year I would like books about interior design and decoration.

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE (but probably won't get) a custom build DVD shelf/cabinet. Instead of using bookshelves that don't really fit my DVD collection probably.

Just downloaded this song from iTunes. Fireflies by Owl City. It's very sweet and poppy, and cute. It's not the usual sort of music I listen to, but it's good.

SOME BOOSH....

 

I'm excited about December. Not only for Christmas but for the films coming out. In particular, Where The Wild Things Are and Avatar.

Marvelous Monday

Soon, this little beauty will be mine. not all mine, I'm going halfsies with my little sister, but it's still going to be awesome. We get the Canon EOS 450D a 18-55mm lens, a 80-250 mm lens, a flash and a bag to put it in, all for under $2000.

Now I need to get over my fear of thinking that people think that I'm a tool for walking around town with a camera. did you get that? I didn't =D

I want to take photos. I just don't think I'm that good. But that's what practice is for.

I don't know how long this sharing of the camera will go. My sister is always at her boyfriends on the weekends, and i think it won't be long until we start to argue about it. But considering she is putting a little bit more money in than me, she has a bigger share.

Only because I can't save money to save my life.

As well as gracing the cover, there are also numerous photos of Muse scattered throughout the mag.... but not for long... Soon, with help from a pair of scissors and some blutac these images will be gracing my walls. =D Can you imagine? surrounded in Muse hot-ness!!!

Goodbye Rove

It's okay, he's NOT dead!

I just found out that today will be the last episode ever of ROVE. *super sad face*

Rove is amazing, funny and just awesome. He's been through so much, but still managed to keep us laughing.

I wonder what he has planned for the future. I'd love to see him settle down with Tasma (his wife) and have some children. That's all the world needs, little Roves... ADORABLE! =D

The Mighty Boosh & Things To Come

Watched The Mighty Boosh Live Future Sailors Tour recently. Had quite a laugh. They really are very funny men, not just Julian and Noel, but Michael (Naboo), Rich (Bob Fossill) and Dave (Bollo). If you haven't seen any of The Mighty Boosh, and you enjoy shows like The IT Crowd and The Goodies, I think you should check them out. They're hypercoloured, crazy, crazy, people =D

 The show was okay. I don't go on any of the rides, for 2 reasons, 1) I'm a giant wuss, and 2) i'd probably puke. Simple isn't it?

I did however, buy a BATMAN showbag, and a bubble blower =D

After being to Supanova, the Albany show is just not exciting.

The fireworks are on tonight (if it doesn't rain) but I'm at work *sad face*

so i secretly hope it rains.

So whats coming up next in my life?

MY 23rd BIRTHDAY.

But I have a dentist AND an orthodontist appointment between now and then *wails*

The dentist with hurt, and the orthodontist will get pissy at me for not brushing, even though I do.... just not enough. But the question at the moment is.... Do I even want braces? Do I really want them? if being 23 and having braces and being abused by an orthodontist really worth it? I think YES. I just need to take better care of my teeth.

Then after all that.

And the new year.

This is the time that I get motivated to do all these things.... loose weight, be more sociable, find a full time job, stop bitching. but it usually lasts about a week. maybe a little bit more. but I'LL TRY.

Camera's, Shows and TWLOHA

Thinking of things to write.

I'm online looking at prices for Digital SLR cameras.

I'm trying to decide between 2 different Canon cameras. The EOS 450D or 1000D.

The 1000D is cheaper, but not as good.

I'm hoping that the my photography lecturer, who also runs the local camera house, can give me a good deal. I want a macro lens and a flash too.

The Albany show is tomorrow. I'm taking my little sister Alex. Should be fun, hopefully the weather won't be too bad. There is currently a severe weather warning for town, but it's still pretty still.

some people are like slinkies... not really good for much, but bring a smile to you face when pushed down stairs.

It's Too Write Love On Her Arm Day tomorrow. All you need to do is write the word "Love" on your arm, take a photo and post the photos on your blog or on Facebook.

 On Friday there will be 7 weeks left of 2009.

Like 2008 this year was full of ups and downs, but this year so far has been one of the best, but also the worst. Lost friendships are always hard, especially when they were as full of anger, spite and jealousy as mine. But no matter what you say about me, and my family, deep down in my heart I still LOVE you.

2010 will start without you. And I honestly hope it will end without you. Even though I still love you a little, I don't want or need you. I can't forgive you for what you said about my family. You think we're the bad guys, but you know deep down in your heart you're wrong.
