Last Day Of Winter 2010

Today is the last day of Winter, and in true Albany fashion.... it's raining. But it will be raining tomorrow too, so it's not a big deal. Spring time. My birthday is in Spring. I will have to start thinking about my party. I'm thinking of making it a "famous people of the 80s" party.... singers, actors, iconic characters etc. I want to be HM Murdock from the A Team. =D

Had a job interview at Target today. It's for a part time, checkout/door position. Wed 10-3, Thur 5-9, Fri 1-5 & Sat 1-5. 17 hours a week. I hope I get it, It will be good to have set shifts, and hopefully I'll be able to work Blockbuster around it. Fingers crossed. I should hopefully find out by the end of the week.

I also did a little bit of shopping. First I bought something completely awesome.... well 2 of the same thing, off ebay....
Yep, that's right. I ordered 2 Murdock (Sharlto Copley) action figures. One will stay sealed (because I'm a nerd) and one I'll open =D I can't wait. it was $36 for both, including postage from the UK.
I also finally got my hands on 2 DVDs I've been chasing for months. They were advertised in the Target catalogue last week, but when I went in last week I couldn't find them, well today, after my interview I wandered around the store and found them...
Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs. This show is on ABC2 almost every night, and it's gross, but hilarious. My mother and I have a crush on the host Mike Rowe. I did a little post about it a couple of months ago. If you have a chance, check it out.

I'm going to get back into the 30 Day Project. I completely forgot about it. The next post will be Day 14 - A non-fiction book. I know what I'm going to do. I just need to get some photos. Expect it soon.

I also bought a copy of Hot Tub Time Machine on Blu-ray. I've been cutting down on buying movies and only buying movies that I really like, and I loved this film. I can't wait to watch it again, but because it's Blu-ray it will be a little harder, because the blu-ray is in the living room. I want The Book of Eli too, but Target didn't have any copies left, and I wanted to buy it for $29, as opposed to $39.95 every where else. I know I should be "supporting" local businesses, but as far as I see it, without Target, over 100 people in this town wouldn't have a job.

Gary Oldman is the best bad guy in the business. I love him as Zorg in The Fifth Element (that's another movie I need on Blu-ray)

YAY! just got an email saying that my Murdock figures have shipped. BTW, I finished Season 1 of The A Team last night. I loved the last episode when the team were in their military uniforms. Murdock looked so handsome =D I tried to find a picture, but I failed =( You'll just have to watch the episode for yourself, it's called "A Nice Place to Visit" it's the last episode of season 1.
